On-Call Allowances. 7.1.1.1 An employee bound by this Agreement, who is rostered to be on call of a night time, will be paid an allowance in accordance with Section 1 of Schedule 2 of this Agreement.
On-Call Allowances. This clause is only applicable to full-time, part-time and casual Information Technology employees who are remunerated on an hourly basis and who, due to the 24/7 nature of their work, are required to participate in an on-call roster. On-call allowances recognise and compensate those employees who are required to be available to be called in to work outside of their ordinary working hours. On-call allowances shall be paid in addition to the wages paid for ordinary working hours when rostered to be on-call for unplanned service delivery together with minimum payment amounts, where applicable, for the additional hours worked. The minimum payment amounts shall also be paid when planned call-outs occur outside of ordinary working hours. A minimum of four hours on-call allowance will be paid to employees when on-call. The following allowances are effective from commencement of this Agreement. Day Allowance Monday to Sunday (excluding public holidays) $ 7.8048 per hour Public Holidays (1.5 times Monday to Sunday rate) $11.7072 per hour The on-call allowance shall be paid irrespective of whether or not the on-call employee is called upon to work. The on-call allowances shall be increased at the same rate as wage rates in clause 15.3. When an on-call Employee is called upon to work for planned and unplanned calls, the following minimum time shall be paid. Paid leave entitlements do not accrue on payments for on-call activity. A written (or electronic) record of all on-call activity must be submitted on a fortnightly basis to the Company for approval.
On-Call Allowances. B3.3.1(a) Employees, other than RN-4’s or RN-5’s, rostered to be on-call at their private residence, or any other mutually agreed place: between rostered shifts of ordinary hours on a Monday to Friday inclusive, must receive an additional amount of $13.10 for the period or part thereof; on a Saturday must receive an additional amount of $19.65 for the period of part thereof; on a Sunday, public holiday or any other day the employee is not rostered to work must receive an additional amount of $23.95 for the period or part thereof. B3.3.1(b) Employees other than RN-4’s or RN-5’s rostered to be on-call and recalled to duty will, in addition to the rates prescribed above, be entitled to receive normal overtime provisions in accordance with the provisions of clause B4.3 - Overtime.

Employees On Call and in receipt of the On Call Allowances are required to be available to attend a Call Out for the entire duration that they are on call within agreed service standards as set by Council for the function required and must remain in a ‘state of readiness’ (refer definitions of this agreement). An employee will not be required to be On Call whilst on leave however they may nominate to be available for the On Call Roster. Employees required to attend to call outs will receive payment as per the relevant Clauses below.
