Tool Allowance. The Company agrees to arrange with a Tool Supplier for the purchase of tools required in the performance of a trade for each Skilled Trades employee. The Company further agrees to pay for a tool allowance annually up to three hundred ($300.00) dollars. Employees will be allowed to carry over to the next year, any unused portion of the annual $300.00. In addition, the Company agrees to pay the cost of license renewals for Skilled Trades when required by law.
Tool Allowance. Consistent with this Article, the Employer will provide quarterly payments to eligible employees to be used for the replacement of tools. Employees must provide receipts for the full amount of the tool allowance. Failure to present receipts equal to or greater than the tool allowance will result in tax consequences and consideration of the tool allowance as income. Tool Allowance. The Employer shall provide an annual tool allowance (9/1 to 8/31) of up to nine hundred dollars ($900) per each regular full-time employee covered by this appendix for replacing personal tools broken or damaged while performing District services or for new tools required for the work of the District. All tools purchases made under this provision must be pre-approved by the bus maintenance supervisor. If the employee makes a tool purchase without such prior approval, except in cases of emergency, he will not be reimbursed.
