Merchant Transactions. You may use your Card to make purchases from any merchant who accepts Visa debit cards up to the available card balance. When you use your Card at a merchant, the merchant requests a preauthorization for the amount of the transaction. We will place a hold on your Account for three days or until the transaction posts to your Account. If the preauthorized amount does not match the amount of the settling transaction, the hold may not be released until the three days expire. When using your Visa prepaid card at a merchant where a tip may be included (such as at a restaurant), your transaction may be authorized for an additional 20% above your total xxxx. However, the tip amount is at your discretion. The actual amount processed to your Card will not exceed the amount of the xxxx plus the tip added by you. In addition to restaurants, the types of merchants where a tip may be included are, among others, bars, taxis, beauty and xxxxxx shops, and health and beauty spas. When paying at the pump, simply insert your Card and follow the instructions. If you are unable to complete the transaction at the pump, proceed inside and pay the attendant prior to pumping. Additionally, certain automated fuel dispensing merchants may place a preauthorized hold of $75 on your Account prior to permitting you to dispense fuel. These preauthorizations may cause your Card to be declined.

Merchant Transactions. Merchant represents and warrants to Processor and Bank, as of the Effective Date and as of the date of each transaction submitted under this Agreement: (a) Merchant and each transaction submitted by Merchant is fully compliant with all applicable Rules, Laws, and Policies; (b) each sales transaction represents a bona fide sale to a Cardholder of those goods and services set forth on the Merchant Application in the amount of the transaction submitted, free of any claim, demand, defense, or setoff; (c) each transaction was authorized by the Cardholder; (d) Merchant has produced and/or obtained all required transaction documentation accurately describing the goods and services; (e) each transaction submitted was accepted through the method set forth on the Merchant Application and approved by Processor (e.g. card present swipe, mail order, telephone order, internet, or other method); and (f) except as otherwise permitted under the Rules, that the products or services for each transaction have been delivered or performed to the customer’s satisfaction prior to the submission of such transaction.
Merchant Transactions. You can use your debit card to pay for purchases at any merchant location that accepts Mastercard® up to your individual daily limit.  Direct Debiting of Your Account. When making a merchant purchase, you authorize us to debit your designated account for the total amount of the transaction as shown on any sales draft or withdrawal order originated by use of your debit card, whether or not you signed it, and we are permitted to handle such sales draft or withdrawal orders in the same way we handle checks drawn on your designated account, with the exception that you will have no right to stop payment.  Prior Authorization Required. We may require the merchant or bank that honors your debit card to obtain prior authorization for any transaction over a certain dollar amount, which is set at our discretion and may be changed from time to time.
Merchant Transactions. We will not make cash refunds or any other refund regarding Card purchases. We also will not be liable if a merchant refuses to honor your Card. You must handle any claim or defense for a purchase directly with the merchant that accepted or refused to accept your Card. You may not assert disputes you may have with a merchant against us, as, for example, when you believe that the goods or services purchased with a Card were defective, not delivered, or not as promised. Any such dispute is solely between you and the merchant, and you must still pay the total amount of the sales draft plus any Fees or appropriate charges we may be authorized to make. Any merchant credit vouchers for returns or adjustments will be credited to your Designated Account when received by us. Umpqua may, in its sole discretion, attempt to facilitate a resolution with the merchant, but Umpqua will not be responsible for doing so, whether or not we make any efforts in that regard. In any event, Umpqua also reserves the right to deny authorization of any transactions.
Merchant Transactions. You can also pay for purchases at VISA® merchants and other point of sale (POS) providers that have agreed to accept the card(s) and withdraw cash (if permitted by the merchant).

We reserve the right to place a hold on your designated account or any of your accounts with us based on the authorization prior to settlement (the actual posting of the transaction to your account). This could result in an overdraft if sufficient funds are not available in your account to cover both the hold and any checks or other items posting to the account. We will pay the purchase amount from your balance whenever the transactions posts, even if we have released the hold. The daily withdrawal limits using your debit card are the lesser of your available balance or $1,000.00 for point of sale pinned transactions processed as a debit transaction, $1,000.00 for point of sale signature-based transactions processed as a credit transaction, and $750.00 for ATM withdrawals. Higher limits may be available upon request. Some of these services may not be available at all terminals.

Merchant Transactions. Each Merchant acknowledges and agrees that Monarch has no control over, or liability for, the delivery, quality, safety, legality or any other aspect of any goods or services that the Merchant may sell to customers using the Monarch Services. Each Merchant is responsible for handling customer inquiries related to the goods and/or services it sells to customers through the Monarch Services, except for inquiries related to payment for such goods or services which will be handled by Monarch. Each Merchant warrants that it will not use any Monarch Services in connection with any Prohibited Use or Business, as described herein. Each Merchant confirms that by opening a Monarch Account, the Merchant will not use the Monarch Services to accept payments in connection with any of the Prohibited Businesses. Each Merchant further warrants that it will not use Monarch Services in connection with transactions which involve pre-payment of an order which the Merchant does not intend to fulfill within thirty (30) days. When a Merchant must issue a refund to a customer, Monarch will debit the Merchant's Hosted Digital Currency Wallet for the relevant amount of Digital Currency (or, in the event the Merchant uses the Instant Conversion Service, the Merchant shall purchase the relevant amount of Digital Currency in Fiat Currency before Digital Currency is debited from the Merchant's Hosted Digital Currency Wallet) and provide a refund to the customer in Digital Currency having a value equal to the transaction amount being refunded, as expressed in Fiat Currency (e.g., USD), based on the then current Conversion Rate.
