Debit Transaction definition

Debit Transaction means any payment made or any amount charged for any goods, services and/or other benefits by, through or from the use of the Card in signature or by use of the PIN or in any other manner, regardless whether a sales draft or other voucher or form is signed by you and whether authorisation has been sought from us;

Debit Transaction means a Transaction where payment is made by debiting funds in an account which is authorised for access by the Cardholder’s Nominated Card.

Examples of Debit Transaction in a sentence

• An SI Direct Debit Transaction will be settled immediately in case the available balance in the relevant Settlement Participant’s FPS Ledger Account for the time being is sufficient to make the funds transfer referred to in such transaction.

• In case the available balance in the relevant Settlement Participant’s FPS Ledger Account is insufficient to make such funds transfer, the relevant SI Direct Debit Transaction will be rejected immediately.

• Subject to Rule 6.2.1.1 and Rule 6.2.4.2, an SI Direct Debit Transaction will be settled through FPS immediately upon the completion of its processing.

• Settlement of an SI Direct Debit Transaction will be effected across the books of MA pursuant to Rule 3.1.5 by debiting the relevant FPS Ledger Account for the payment referred to in such transaction.
