Limited Acceptance. If appropriately indicated herein, Merchant shall be a Limited Acceptance Merchant, which means that Merchant has elected to accept only certain Visa and MasterCard card types as indicated on the Merchant Application, or via later notification. The Visa or MasterCard Credit acceptance option on the Merchant Application refers to Visa Credit and Business transactions, and is what MasterCard refers to as “Other Card” transactions. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Application, Merchant can elect (i) to accept only Visa or MasterCard non-PIN based debit/stored value/electronic benefit transactions (sometimes referred to as “signature debit” transactions, whether or not an actual signature is required), or (ii) to accept only Visa or MasterCard Credit transactions, or (iii) to accept all Visa or MasterCard Credit and signature debit transactions; provided, however, that a Merchant who accepts any Visa or MasterCard Card types must accept all valid Visa or MasterCard Card types issued by a non-U.S. issuer. Merchant is not required to accept Card brands other than Visa or MasterCard in order to accept Visa or MasterCard Cards (except that transactions using Diner’s International Cards which also carry the MasterCard Xxxx must be accepted if Merchant accepts MasterCard Card transactions of the same type). Bank has no obligation other than those expressly provided under the Operating Rules and applicable law as they may relate to Limited Acceptance. Bank’s obligations do not include policing card types at the point of sale. Merchant will be solely responsible for the implementation of its decision for limited acceptance including but not limited to policing the card type(s) of transactions at the point of sale submitted for processing by Bank. Should Merchant submit a transaction for processing for a card type it has indicated it does not wish to accept, Bank may process that transaction and Merchant will pay the applicable fees, charges, and assessments associated with that transaction. Merchant will comply with any applicable laws and Operating Rules for the card type processed.

Limited Acceptance. Each Card Network may allow you to accept only a subset of that Card Network’s cards, in which case you must follow the Card Network Rules that govern limited acceptance.
Limited Acceptance. Visa Rules allow Merchant to become a Limited Acceptance Merchant as part of its use of Bank’s Services. A “Limited Acceptance Merchant,” as defined by Visa, is a merchant that accepts either, but not both, of the following: ● Visa Credit and Business Category Cards ● Visa Debit Category Cards Merchant has elected to become a Limited Acceptance Merchant by choosing to accept ONLY (please xxxx the applicable card category below): □ Visa Credit and Business Category Cards □ Visa Debit Category Cards Merchant’s failure to select one of the Limited Acceptance Categories above means that Merchant has elected to accept BOTH Visa Credit and Business Category Cards and Visa Debit Category Cards. If Merchant elects to be a Limited Acceptance Merchant, Merchant must properly display the Visa-approved signage that represents the Limited Acceptance Category that Merchant has selected above.
Limited Acceptance. User may elect to limit its acceptance to only certain types and/or brands of Cards. For example, User may elect to accept (or not accept) any or all of the following: Visa credit cards, Visa debit cards, Mastercard credit cards, and/or Mastercard debit cards. User may also elect to accept (or not accept) only consumer Cards, corporate Cards, fleet Cards, etc. User must clearly specify its election as to limited accepted options in writing on the User Application or in another form acceptable to Autobooks. If User submits a Card Transaction for a Card type it has indicated it does not wish to accept, Autobooks may still process the Card Transaction and charge User any applicable fees, charges, and assessments associated with that Card Transaction.

Merchant will be solely responsible for policing, at the point of sale, the card type(s) of transactions it submits for processing by Acquirer. Should Merchant submit a transaction for processing for a card type it has indicated it does not wish to accept, Acquirer may process that transaction and Merchant will pay the applicable fees, charges, and assessments associated with that transaction. Processor, Bank and their designated vendors have no obligations with regard to Limited Acceptance except those expressly stated in the Rules, Operating Regulations or the Laws. Processor, Bank and their vendors have no obligation to monitor, review, or oversee card types accepted by You at the point of sale. If You elect to be a Limited Acceptance Provider, Y ou are solely responsible for implementing your Limited Acceptance and for paying all costs related thereto. Should You submit a transaction involving a Card type You have indicated You do not wish to accept, Processor, Bank and/or their designated vendors may process that transaction and Y ou will be s o le ly responsible for all fees, charges and assessments related to that transaction. A general description of Visa/Mastercard card types are: (a) Consumer Credit: a consumer credit card issued by a U.S. Issuer or a commercial credit card issued by a non-U.S. Issuer, this category does not include Visa or Mastercard branded signature-based debit cards; (b) Consumer Debit: a Visa or Mastercard branded signature-based debit card (including certain stored-value and prepaid cards); and (c) Business Credit: a Visa or Mastercard branded credit card issued by a U.S. Issuer that bears the descriptive term “Business Card,” “Corporate Card,” “Purchasing Card,” “Fleet Card,” or similar descriptive term indicated pursuant to the Rules. If You elected to be a Limited Acceptance Provider on the Merchant Application, then You will be deemed as such by Processor and shall accept only the Visa and/or Mastercard types indicated on the Merchant Application.

Merchant is solely responsible for identifying accepted and non-accepted Cards and will not submit transactions involving Cards which Merchant has elected not to accept. Processer may, but has no obligation to, process transactions submitted using, and will charge Merchant applicable Fees incurred as the result of processing any transaction involving, a Card that Merchant has elected not to accept, and Merchant agrees to pay all such Fees when due.
