Job Search. The Employer should assist surplus staff to find alternative employment by allowing them a reasonable amount of time off work to attend job interviews without loss of pay. This is subject to the Employer being notified of the time and location of the interview before the employee is released to attend it.

All affected employees from the time of being given notice under Clause 3.a above of this Appendix will be allowed to take reasonable time on full pay to prepare a curriculum vitae, attend counselling with counsellors agreed by the employer, attend job interviews and attend job training. This release time shall not be used for any other purpose. Employees who are notified of a lay off for an indefinite period of time shall be entitled to five (5) half days of release time for the purpose of seeking employment.
