INCLEMENT WEATHER/SCHOOL CLOSINGS. In the event of inclement weather or impassability of roads or whenever school is canceled, delayed or is dismissed early, DISTRICT shall notify CONTRACTOR not later than 6:00 a.m. on the day of such cancellation or delay or not later than one (1) hour before early dismissal or the cancellation of Supplemental Transportation.

INCLEMENT WEATHER/SCHOOL CLOSINGS. On days the district is closed due to inclement weather: • Operations/Facilities Staff – all, including mechanics, utilities, grounds, and custodial staff will report to work during an inclement weather clean-up and removal will be paid at double time their regular rate of pay. • For safety reasons, there must be at least 2 employees assigned to any building. • Once inclement weather clean-up is complete Operations/Facilities Staff will be permitted to leave and work on available trainings remotely. • If an Operations/Facilities Staff member require a medical accommodation to prevent shoveling, salting, or operating a snowplow they are required to complete paperwork with the Department of Human Resources prior to November 15th annually. Should a condition arise after November 15th that will not prevent an employee from submitting after November 15th for a medical accommodation. • If the schools remain closed additional days following the inclement weather event clean-up, Operations/ Facilities Staff will report at regular rate of pay when safely able to arrive. • Operations/Facilities Staff – that utilize benefit time (vacation, personal or sick) will be charged for that time, which will be paid at their regular rate of pay. The district reserves the right to request a physician’s note after more than one use of sick time during inclement weather events. • All other 10‐ and 12‐month Support Staff including 210 Assistants and all Assistants at 16 Xxxxxx and 20 Xxxxxx – will not be required to report to work if the buildings are closed due to inclement weather. However, all will be required to work remotely. Support Staff may be needed for Asynchronous/Synchronous learning with students.

INCLEMENT WEATHER/SCHOOL CLOSINGS. Changes In Regular School Schedules: In the event of inclement weather, impassibility of roads or whenever school is canceled, delayed, operating on a modified schedule or school is dismissed early for any reason, the District shall notify the Contractor no later than 5:30 a.m. on the day of such cancellation or delay and no later than two (2) hours before an early dismissal or the cancellation of Supplemental Transportation. If the District does not notify the Contractor by 6:00 a.m., the District shall pay the Contractor its actual costs incurred for both labor expense and for miles traveled, based upon trip mileage, for any bus in which a driver has signed in and left the lot on a route. In the event the Contractor incurs such expense, the Contractor will submit to the District, no later than the fifteenth (15th) working day of the month, a statement of its actual costs incurred during the prior month. The District shall pay to the Contractor the sums due, owed it and as set forth in the statement. Such payment shall be made on or before the tenth (10th) business day following the date on which the statement was submitted. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event of circumstances in the operation of any school which necessitate early dismissal for pupil health or safety reasons, the Contractor and the District shall cooperate to facilitate orderly transportation of pupils in the most efficient manner possible in light of the circumstances presented.
INCLEMENT WEATHER/SCHOOL CLOSINGS. Full-time custodians required to work on inclement weather days shall report to work for four (4) hours and receive eight (8) hours of pay.

INCLEMENT WEATHER/SCHOOL CLOSINGS. In the event school is canceled or delayed due to inclement weather, impassability of roads or other cause, District shall notify CBS of any such cancellation or delay not later than 5:30 a.m. on the day of such cancellation or delay. In the event school is dismissed early for any cause, District shall notify CBS of any such early dismissal not later than three (3) hours before dismissal. CBS shall be paid the full amount due to it even if school is cancelled. CBS shall not charge District any additional cost if a calamity day is made up by CBS.

The decision of the Superintendent shall be final.
