In-Lieu Holidays. 215. An employee required by his/her Appointing Officer to work on any of the above specified holidays is entitled to an in-lieu holiday to compensate for the holiday worked, to be scheduled as described below.
In-Lieu Holidays. Regular employees who work in a unit for which the normal work schedules include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays shall be granted one (1) day off every four (4) weeks in lieu of prescribed holidays. Such time off shall be designated in the employees' regular work schedules. If not scheduled and taken every four (4) weeks, such time shall accrue at the rate of 4.3 hours for each biweekly pay period. If employees are required to work on a day which has been scheduled as a day off in lieu of prescribed holidays, they shall receive overtime compensation as provided in Section 6.1.

In-lieu days will be assigned by the appointing officer or designee if not scheduled in accordance with the procedures described herein. 151. A holiday can be carried over into the next fiscal year with the approval of the appointing officer. If an appointing officer fails to schedule an in-lieu holiday as provided herein, the holiday credit shall be carried over to the next fiscal year.
In-Lieu Holidays. The parties recognize that the school calendar may require an adjustment of the date on which some holidays are celebrated. As such, subject to consultation with the Association, the District may move days so long as the total number of paid holidays remains the same.

  • Premium Holidays If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Weekend Holidays 9.3.1. A full-time employee who works a Monday through Friday schedule and the calendar holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall be allowed the preceding day off. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall be allowed the following day off. If the employee works the day preceding or following such a holiday, he/she shall be given another workday off with pay or shall receive payment for that day at the regular rate.

  • STATUTORY HOLIDAYS 12.01 The following holidays shall be recognized as legal holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Dominion Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday

  • GENERAL HOLIDAYS 13.01 The following days shall be recognized and considered as paid general holidays: New Year's Day Labour Day Xxxxx Xxxx Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Xxxxx Xxx Day and any other day or portion of a day designated as a paid holiday by the Civic, Provincial or Federal Government.

  • Legal Holidays In any case where the date on which any payment is due shall not be a Business Day, then (notwithstanding any other provision of the Notes or this Indenture) payment need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date on which nominally due, and no interest shall accrue for the period from and after any such nominal date.
