Holiday Worked. Employee(s) (in non-Z classifications) scheduled to work on a paid legal holiday as listed above shall receive time and one-half for the hours worked, plus the rate of pay as stated in Article III.E.3. herein. Employee(s) may elect to receive compensatory time off, computed at the rate of time and one-half in lieu of monetary payment for time worked on paid holidays. 237. Employees in “Z” classifications shall receive eight hours holiday pay and in addition shall receive compensatory time off at the rate of one-and-a-half (1- 1/2) times for work on the holiday.

Holiday Worked. If an employee works on a holiday, as defined by this article, he/she shall be compensated for working the holiday by receiving 1.5 times his/her regular, hourly pay rate for each hour or major fraction worked on that holiday up to a maximum of his/her regularly scheduled shift, in addition to receiving holiday pay. The decision as to whether compensation for “holiday worked” hours shall be in cash and/or compensatory time shall be made at the time it is worked and shall be solely the decision of the employee. Compensation for “holiday pay” hours (Pay Code 0005) must be taken as cash.
Holiday Worked. In addition to the provisions of 9.4 and 9.4.1 above, when a full- time or regularly scheduled part-time employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall, at the discretion of the Employer, either be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked. A calendar holiday begins after 12:00 a.m. on the actual day of the holiday and ends at midnight on the same day. Only hours worked on the actual calendar holiday are to be compensated as indicated above.
