DRUG FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT. Oakland Community College is committed to providing a safe, efficient, and productive work environment for all employees. Using or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol on the job may pose serious safety and health risks. To help ensure a safe and healthful working environment, job applicants may be asked to provide body substance samples (such as urine and/or blood) to determine the illicit or illegal use of drugs. Bargaining unit employees may be tested for drugs if there is reasonable suspicion, or for alcohol if work performance and observable signs indicate that alcohol may be affecting performance. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides confidential counseling and referral services to employees for assistance with such problems as drug and/or alcohol abuse or addiction. It is the employee's responsibility to seek assistance from the EAP prior to reaching a point where their judgment, performance, or behavior has led to imminent disciplinary action.

DRUG FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT. Oakland Community College is committed to providing a safe, efficient and productive work environment for all employees. Using or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol on the job may pose serious safety and health risks. Consistent with Board policy requiring a drug free workplace, the parties agree to incorporate by reference and abide by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department Drug Test Screening Policy for Sheriff’s Department Employees, until such time as an alternative policy is developed in consultation with the Union and approved by the College.
DRUG FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT. It is the goal of the Employer and Association to have a drug-free work environment. Accordingly, the Employer has adopted the drug & alcohol Testing Policy in accordance with the FHWA regulations for full-time Highway Department employees who possess Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL’s). Effective January 1, 2006 this Agreement expands that policy to require all full-time, part- time and temporary employees to be covered by the provisions of those regulations and County policy. To assure compliance with the FHWA-CDL Regulations, the Employer shall maintain separate lists for random testing between CDL employees and non-CDL employees. All consequences maintained in the regulations shall remain in effect for permanent full-time or part-time non-CDL employees.

DRUG FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT. The CITY and DISTRICT is an alcohol and drug free work environment. The misuses of alcohol and/or unlawful use of controlled substances or abuse of prescription drugs may result in work place accidents, absenteeism, substandard work performance and loss of productivity. The CITY and Local 2319 are also concerned with the adverse effect on the well-being of employees, their families, co-workers, and the public. All employees shall be informed of this policy within Rules and Regulations. The CITY shall utilize random drug testing which shall be unannounced and scheduled throughout the calendar year as provided in the CITY’s employee work policy.

  • Drug-Free Workplace Contractor represents and warrants that it shall comply with the applicable provisions of the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §701 et seq.) and maintain a drug-free work environment.

  • DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE WORKPLACE 22.1 All employees must report to work in a condition fit to perform their assigned duties unimpaired by alcohol or drugs. Each institution is required to comply with the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) and the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Regulations in order to be eligible for federal funding.

  • Drug-Free Workplace Policy Consultant shall provide a drug-free workplace by complying with all provisions set forth in City’s Council Policy 100-5, attached hereto as Exhibit “D” and incorporated herein by reference. Consultant’s failure to conform to the requirements set forth in Council Policy 100-5 shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement and shall be cause for immediate termination of this Agreement by City.

  • Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace City reserves the right to deny access to, or require Contractor to remove from, City facilities personnel of any Contractor or subcontractor who City has reasonable grounds to believe has engaged in alcohol abuse or illegal drug activity which in any way impairs City's ability to maintain safe work facilities or to protect the health and well-being of City employees and the general public. City shall have the right of final approval for the entry or re-entry of any such person previously denied access to, or removed from, City facilities. Illegal drug activity means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, purchasing, using or being under the influence of illegal drugs or other controlled substances for which the individual lacks a valid prescription. Alcohol abuse means possessing, furnishing, selling, offering, or using alcoholic beverages, or being under the influence of alcohol.

  • Drug Free Work Place Grantee shall establish and maintain a drug-free work place policy.

  • CERTIFICATION REGARDING DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS The undersigned (authorized official signing for the contracting organization) certifies that the contractor will, or will continue to, provide a drug-free workplace in accordance with 45 CFR Part 76 by:

  • Drug-Free Workplace Certification As required by Executive Order No. 90-5 dated April 12, 1990, issued by the Governor of Indiana, the Contractor hereby covenants and agrees to make a good faith effort to provide and maintain a drug-free workplace. The Contractor will give written notice to the State within ten (10) days after receiving actual notice that the Contractor, or an employee of the Contractor in the State of Indiana, has been convicted of a criminal drug violation occurring in the workplace. False certification or violation of this certification may result in sanctions including, but not limited to, suspension of contract payments, termination of this Contract and/or debarment of contracting opportunities with the State for up to three (3) years. In addition to the provisions of the above paragraph, if the total amount set forth in this Contract is in excess of $25,000.00, the Contractor certifies and agrees that it will provide a drug-free workplace by:

  • DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS Contractor will comply with the requirements of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1990 and will provide a drug-free workplace by taking the following actions:

  • DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE FORM The Drug-Free Workplace Form is attached and shall be completed and submitted with your bid.
