Concurrent Parental Leave. If you are full time or part time, Concurrent Parental Leave is available when your partner gives birth to your child or when you adopt a child. You can access up to 10 days leave from your accrued Personal Leave balance and take it at the same time your partner is on Parental Leave.
Concurrent Parental Leave. An employee, other than a casual, who is a supporting parent shall be entitled to up to two weeks paid concurrent parental leave from their accrued sick leave balance at the time their partner gives birth to a child or at the time the employee adopts a child provided that the employee has had 12 months continuous service with the employer immediately prior to the commencement of their concurrent parental leave.
Concurrent Parental Leave. Parental Leave can include a mixture of Paid and Unpaid Parental Leave, accumulated time in lieu, Annual Leave and Long Service Leave, but cannot exceed 104 weeks in total. Your leave period must be taken in a single unbroken period, with the exception of Concurrent Parental Leave.

(a) An Employee who is entitled to take unpaid parental leave pursuant to section 71 or section 72 of the Act and who applies to take concurrent parental leave pursuant to section 72(5) of the Act, subject to sub- clause 34.2(d) below, will be entitled to elect to take up to two weeks of this leave as either unpaid leave or paid carer's leave, from the Employee's available personal leave credit balance, where the leave commences on the day of birth of the child, or on the day on which the child, or mother of the child, leaves hospital following the birth or, in the case of an adoption, from the date of placement of the child. If the Employee applies to take paid carer's leave, the School will deem the normal thresholds for eligibility for carer's leave to have been met in the relevant period.

(a) A teacher who is entitled to take unpaid parental leave pursuant to section 71 or section 72 of the Act and who applies to take concurrent parental leave pursuant to section 72(5) of the Act, subject to subclause 25.2(d) below, may elect to take up to two weeks paid xxxxx's leave commencing on the day of birth of the child, or on the day on which the child or mother of the child leaves hospital following the birth, or in the case of an adoption, from the date of placement of the child. In these circumstances, the School will deem the normal thresholds for eligibility for carer's leave to have been met in the relevant period.
Concurrent Parental Leave. Apart from short paternity leave or short adoption leave parents may not take parental leave concurrently. The entitlement to parental leave will be reduced by any period of parental leave (other than short paternity leave or short adoption leave) taken by an employee’s spouse in relation to the same child.
