COMPENSATION FOR HOLIDAYS FALLING ON DAYS OFF. Observed holidays which fall on the employee's regularly scheduled day off shall be compensated for on a regular hourly rate of pay basis, either by accumulation of compensatory time or by receiving a regular day's pay, at the discretion of the employee, as defined and limited in Article 8.4. Employees working a set day shift schedule of Monday through Friday with weekends off (example Detectives/Support Services) will be required to take the observed holiday off in keeping with the Administrators scheduled time off. Exceptions to this will be granted by a Supervisor on a case by case basis.

COMPENSATION FOR HOLIDAYS FALLING ON DAYS OFF. Whenever any of the above-noted holidays falls on an employee’s normal day(s) off, and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the working day following the employee’s last day off shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this Agreement.
COMPENSATION FOR HOLIDAYS FALLING ON DAYS OFF. Full-Time Employees If one of the above-named holidays falls on a regularly scheduled day off, a full- time continuous, seasonal-term, or extended-term employee shall be granted time off with pay in lieu thereof, on a day mutually agreed upon.   • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday‌ A team member who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday. The scheduling of the lieu day shall be in accordance with Appendix 4.

  • Compensation for Work on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is regularly scheduled to work, in accordance with Article 14, and her regularly scheduled day of work falls on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she shall receive compensation equal to two and one-half (2 ½) times her regular rate of pay as follows:

  • Holidays on Day Off When any of the above noted holidays fall on an employee's scheduled day off for those employees who work other than the normal work week, Monday to Friday, inclusive, the employee shall receive another day off with pay at a time mutually agreed upon between the employee and the Employer.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.
