Scheduled Time Off. The parties have agreed to a scheduled time off program which covers all former paid leave.
Scheduled Time Off. Except where otherwise provided by law or by a specific provision of this Agreement, vacation/holiday or compensatory time must be used for all prescheduled time off taken by an employee.
Scheduled Time Off. Regularly scheduled bargaining unit nurses performing direct patient care duties shall be granted scheduled time off, per nursing unit and shift, in the following numbers:
Scheduled Time Off. 27.2.1. Management will make reasonable effort, considering the operational needs of the District, to accommodate all employee requests for time off. Scheduled time off should normally be requested at least two (2) weeks in advance to increase the likelihood of those dates being approved.

Scheduled Time Off. Responsible use of PTO allows for the greatest flexibility and effectiveness of the PTO program. It is intended that, as much as possible, time away from work will be scheduled and approved in advance.
Scheduled Time Off. Section A. Scheduled employee time-off, which is defined as vacation, personal holidays, personal sick days, bonus sick day and compensatory time, shall require ten (10) calendar days of advance notice to the Employer prior to taking the time off. The purpose of this is to afford relief operators and the Employer time to fill the vacancy. The department head or designee will provide email notification to the relief operator to the email address provided to the City by the relief operator of any schedule changes ten (10) days prior to the changed date. Sick time, bereavement, and family emergencies are not included as scheduled time-off.
Scheduled Time Off. A. The Chief shall permit members to begin selecting time off for each year no later than December 1st of the prior year. Such selection of time off shall continue until all members have exhausted their contractually awarded EDO’s, vacation and holidays by either scheduling them or passing.
Scheduled Time Off. To utilize PTO, employees are required to schedule absences such as vacation, personal business, holidays and planned medical services in advance. All requests must be in writing and arranged with the employee’s supervisor in advance. All requests will be granted or denied subject to the staffing and operational needs of the unit. Such requests shall not be unreasonably denied. The Union will be provided with copies of all vacation denials. A place shall be designated for the keeping of these copies for the Union’s review. Any request for time off is subject to the employee having sufficient time available in their PTO bank at the time of use. Employees are responsible for the management of their time and are not permitted to go into a negative time off balance and if there is no time available in their bank at the time of use, they cannot have the time off. Requests for swaps or where a member finds their own coverage within the posted time must reach the nurse manager by 7:00 a.m. on the Wednesday prior to the week of the change. Requests for a swap of where an employee finds their own coverage may be submitted no more than four (4) weeks in advance.
