Observed Holidays. The official holidays listed above shall be treated as observed holidays when the following occur:
Observed Holidays. The following days shall be observed as paid holidays for all eligible employees: New Year's Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. Day Presidents' Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Day Day After Thanksgiving Christmas Day Floating Holiday All eligible employees shall receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of the Agreement. The employee must request the floating holiday at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. The supervisor may waive the fourteen (14) day advance notice if staffing needs permit. The Appointing Authority may limit the number of employees that may be absent on any given day subject to the operational needs of the Appointing Authority. Floating holidays may not be accumulated or paid off.
Observed Holidays. Employees (including those on temporary appointments) who are appointed at a designated percentage time shall be entitled to a total of eleven (11) paid holidays each fiscal year. The holidays shall be seven (7) "observed" and four (4) "floating/personal." The seven (7) "observed" holidays are: ° New Year's Day ° Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx'x Birthday ° Memorial Day ° Independence Day ° Labor Day ° Thanksgiving Day ° Christmas Day There shall be four (4) "floating/personal" holidays scheduled annually.

Day • President’s Day • Memorial DayIndependence DayLabor Day • Veterans Day • Thanksgiving DayDay after ThanksgivingChristmas Day Except for employees working where seven (7) day a week schedules are in effect, when any of the above holidays falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday; and when any of the above holidays fall on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as the holiday. Where seven (7) day a week schedules are in effect, the actual holiday shall be observed as a holiday for employees working within such schedule.
Observed Holidays. If an employee is required to work on a holiday, the actual holiday will be considered the date on which the holiday is observed. For employees who are given time off for the holiday, the holiday will be observed as follows:
Observed Holidays. Should a holiday fall on an employee’s normal day off, it shall, at the discretion of the appropriate supervisor, be observed on the first normal working day preceding or following the date of the recognized holiday. Should the employee be required to work on his observed holiday, he shall receive holiday pay plus one (1) and one-half (1/2) times his hourly rate for all hours worked on the holiday. Should an emergency exist and an employee is assigned duties on an observed holiday but fails to report for an observed holiday and fails to report for an unacceptable reason, he shall forfeit his holiday pay and an appropriate deduction shall be made.
