Collaboration with Industry, Academia and Citizens. ‌ Uppsala residents, organisations and companies are critical to achieving Uppsala's ambitious climate targets. The municipality will therefore continue to develop networks and meeting places where the involvement of citizens, industry, academia and civil society can be mobilised and taken into account. Since 2010, Uppsala Municipality has been operating within the collaboration platform Uppsala Climate Protocol, which includes representatives from industry, academia, public activities and civil society. Membership of the Climate Protocol means that the participating organisation takes climate leadership with the ambition of reducing its climate emissions in line with the Paris Agreement. The common objective is to reduce emissions by 14% per year Among other things, systematic climate work and adoption of various climate challenges is taking place. In the last period (2018-2021), the members' joint emissions decreased by 26%. The Uppsala Climate Protocol has begun its next three- year programme period with a view to deepening cooperation and broadening participation. Uppsala's climate efforts can also be more clearly linked to the municipality's broader industry promoting work to reduce the climate impact of companies and to strengthen companies' ability to be competitive in a future sustainable society. Through collaboration with Uppsala University, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), STUNS and UIC, there is good institutional infrastructure for innovation. The municipality's ongoing efforts to increase its citizens' involvement in climate issues are aiming at joint ownership, guiding climate-smart choices and creating a better understanding of political priorities for reducing climate impact. Efforts to mobilise the municipality's residents for the climate transition are ongoing but need to be strengthened. The municipality intends to: • contribute to raising Uppsala's climate protocol's innovation capacity together with other players within the Climate Protocol. • develop the work of supporting and engaging more companies in the municipality for joint ownership of climate transition. Collaboration with Industry, Academia and Citizens. ‌ To cope with the major transition, it is important that we all get on the journey towards a climate- neutral Växjö. Collaboration, dialogue and information are needed in all areas, with people of all ages and with different backgrounds, and this is a natural part of the implementation of Växjö's sustainability program. The municipality takes on the leadership shirt to achieve this. Växjö's Earth Week is an important platform but is not the only one. We wish to develop methods for handshakes with various players on how we can contribute to a climate-neutral Växjö together. Dialogue is being conducted with private individuals, housing associations and industry on how they can reduce their own energy consumption and be part of the climate transition. By educating and involving children in various sustainability issues, we can have a serious impact. A new version of the Växjö Declaration was developed in 2021. It functions as a tool for handshakes between the municipality and other players to realise the ambitions of the sustainability programme and the Climate City Contract so that together we can contribute to a climate-neutral Växjö.

Collaboration with Industry, Academia and Citizens. ‌ By launching Climate City Contract in Malmö in the summer of 2021, the city has committed itself to gathering all the players in society around our Malmö-specific challenges and opportunities to live a good life within the 1.5-degree goal - to provide conditions, accelerate and encourage a transition here and now together with those who live and operate in Malmö. Different living conditions give different climate footprints and therefore Climate City Contract Malmö must be built up with support and knowledge from several players. Commitment of industry, associations and civil society plays a crucial role if Malmö is to succeed in bringing all the power into the transition through a common focus on the individual choices Malmö residents make today in the areas of housing, food, leisure, commitment, consumption and mobility. Climate City Contract Malmö will be gradually developed into a digital platform and a network for the whole of Malmö to co-create climate benefits and reduce the city's climate impact in line with Malmö's environmental and climate goals. With tools, knowledge and ideas, Malmö residents and businesses will be able to explore the effects of their lifestyle and choose to contribute with commitments to Malmö's Climate Transition. Together, we will initiate, divide and follow up the effect of individual climate initiatives, major commitments and joint creative solutions within Malmö's joint climate transition. In a first iteration, a prototype is now being built for a digital platform to support Malmö residents in the mapping of individual lifestyle choices and then show the effect of adjustments in everyday life by encouraging Malmö residents' initiatives, ideas and efforts to actively reduce their climate impact, increase their well-being and live more sustainably. The prototype will be tested in a number of collaborative environments with early adapters, i.e. existing organisations that have shown their interest and have their own ambitions to support people's sustainable choices in their everyday lives based on their social role and group-close contexts.

With a holistic approach, we are mobilising for an effective interaction between politics, industry, the public sector, academia, private individuals and civil society based on climate neutrality. With the funding through Viable Cities, we intend to monitor and participate in calls linked to strategic projects that are in line with our transition. Since the challenge of climate impact is complex, well-thought-out and well-directed communication is required around Enköping's goal of climate neutrality by 2030. During 2022, Enköping will be working with climate neutrality in its city brand and building up an understandable and communicable description of what we want to do together. During the year, we will also initiate dialogues and collaborations broadly with industry and civil society to examine what various players need to increase knowledge about the climate impact of their own organisation and what would strengthen each party's ability to act to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. Over time, Enköping will further develop a broader innovation team as well as digital and physical meeting places to promote collaboration.
