Closing of School. On those days where snow, sleet or other such hazards, as determined by the Superintendent of Schools, necessitates the closing of school, the teaching personnel are not required to report.

Specific instructions will be given by P.A. announcements, teachers, or authorized personnel. The following procedure will be followed:

Employees will not be required to be present to perform assigned duties on an otherwise scheduled workday if all of the schools of the district are officially closed by the Board on account of inclement weather or other emergency. At the discretion of the Board, additional school days may be scheduled to make up school days lost on account of inclement weather or other emergency.

When weather or other emergency conditions warrant the closing of school(s), staff shall be notified no later than one (1) hour before the scheduled arrival of teachers at the earliest opening of schools. School closing notifications shall be made via appropriate media outlets as well as any automated district communication systems.

Lunch time: 1st lunch period: 11:15 (K-4th grades) 2nd lunch period:12:15 p.m. (5-8th grades) Students are required to bring a sack lunch to school each day. Microwaves are available for student use. Due to time constraints, NO FROZEN entrees may be cooked. No Fast food or Restaurant food is allowed after the 8:00am bell due to classroom interruptions and distractions.
