Attendance at Union Functions. Where operational requirements permit, NAV CANADA will grant leave without pay to a reasonable number of employees at any one time to attend Union Executive Council meetings, congresses and conventions. Leave without pay for this purpose shall be requested in writing to NAV CANADA as far in advance as possible of the date the leave is to commence, but normally not less than fifteen (15) calendar days in advance. Approval of such requests shall not unreasonably be withheld.

Attendance at Union Functions. With permission of the Department Head, the Xxxxxxx (or alternate) may be allowed time off, without pay, to attend official Union functions (such as an annual convention) for up to five (5) working days, provided that there is no disruption of departmental operations, and provided that the Employer does not incur any expenses as a result of the absence of said Xxxxxxx or alternate.
Attendance at Union Functions. Members of the Union attending a function of the Union, such as conventions or educational conferences, shall be allowed time off without pay to attend such functions.

Attendance at Union Functions. Any employee may use vacation, accrued compensatory time off or unpaid leave to attend a Union function such as General Council, Annual Stewards’ Conference, stewards training, etc., provided the employee has requested time off to attend the event at least thirty (30) days in advance of the event, provided no other employee has scheduled leave at the same time or that leave would not affect the efficient operation of the department/program. An employee who selects unpaid leave to attend a Union function other than General Council, shall be responsible for all fringe benefit costs prorated as the result of unpaid leave. Employees who select unpaid leave to attend General Council shall have such time treated as time worked for fringe benefit purposes.
Attendance at Union Functions. Upon reasonable notification to the Employer, and based on operational needs, an Employee elected or appointed to represent the Union at Union functions may be allowed a leave of absence with pay and benefits and without loss of seniority. The Union will reimburse the Employer upon receipt of invoice for such pay. Requests will not be unreasonably denied.

  • MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS 6.01 The Union acknowledges that it is the exclusive function of the Employer to:

The organization shall keep an adequate itemized record of its financial transactions and shall make available annually to the City Clerk, and to all unit employees, within sixty (60) calendar days after the end of its fiscal year, a detailed written financial report thereof in the form of a balance sheet and an operating statement, certified as to its accuracy by its president and the treasurer or corresponding principal officer, or by a certified public accountant.

  • Primary Function The primary function of the Program Manager is to provide strategic guidance and direction to the Project Team and to manage the Project on behalf of the Owner. Program Manager agrees that the services provided by the Program Manager are intended to coordinate and complement the activities of the Project Team, but not to diminish, alter or substitute for any of the services, authority, obligations or responsibilities being provided by the Design Professional and CM/GC under their respective contracts.   • Union Stewards The Hospital agrees to recognize Union stewards to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period for the purpose of dealing with Union business as provided under this Collective Agreement. A Chief Xxxxxxx or designate may, in the absence of any xxxxxxx, assist in the presentation of any grievance, or with any xxxxxxx function. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of Union stewards appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. It is agreed that Union stewards have their regular duties and responsibilities to perform for the Hospital and shall not leave their regular duties without first obtaining permission from their immediate supervisor. If, in the performance of his duties, a Union xxxxxxx is required to enter an area within the Hospital in which he is not originally employed, he shall report his presence to the supervisor in the area immediately upon entering it. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. When resuming his regular duties and responsibilities, such xxxxxxx shall again report to his immediate supervisor. A Union xxxxxxx shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent in performing the above duties during his regular scheduled working hours. Nothing in this Article shall preclude full-time stewards from representing part-time employees and vice-versa. The number of stewards and the areas which they represent, are to be determined locally."

  • Leave of Absence for Union Functions a) Upon request to the Employer, an Employee elected or appointed to represent the Union at conventions shall be allowed leave of absence with pay and benefits.

  • Job Stewards 10.01 Job Stewards shall be recognized on all jobs and they shall not be discriminated against. It will be his/her duty to attend to all complaints between the workers on the job and the company to endeavor to reach a settlement before these complaints become grievances.
