UNION STEWARDS. The County affirms the right and recognizes the necessity of the Union to designate employees as Stewards. It is agreed by the County and the Union that the purpose of all Union Representatives is to promote an effective relationship between the County and the Union by assisting in settling grievances at the lowest possible level of the grievance procedure.

More Definitions of UNION STEWARDS

UNION STEWARDS. The Union may designate certain employees from the bargaining unit to act as stewards and shall notify the Employer, in writing, when elected officials are chosen.
UNION STEWARDS. The Union may designate ten (10) stewards to represent those employees in the Union. The Union shall submit to the County a list of Union stewards within thirty (30) days following the signing of this agreement. The list is to be updated on a semi-annual basis.
