Wireless Telecommunications Facility definition

Wireless Telecommunications Facility means equipment and network components such as towers, utility poles, transmitters, base stations, and emergency power systems that are integral to providing wireless telecommunications services.
Wireless Telecommunications Facility or "Facility" means any structure, antenna, tower, or other device which provides radio/television transmission, commercial mobile wireless services, unlicensed wireless services, cellular phone services, specialized mobile radio communications (SMR), common carrier wireless exchange phone services, specialized mobile radio communications (SMR), common carrier wireless exchange access services, and personal communications service (PCS) or pager services.
Wireless Telecommunications Facility means equipment and network components such as antennas, accessory equipment, support structures, and emergency power systems that are integral to providing wireless telecommunications services. Exceptions: The term “wireless telecommunications facility” does not apply to the following:

  • Requiring a Special Use Permit for any new, co-location or modification of a Wireless Telecommunications Facility.

  • All legally permitted Wireless Telecommunications Facilities, constructed as permitted, existing on or before the effective date of this Regulation shall be allowed to continue as the presently exist, provided however, that any visible modification of an existing Wireless Telecommunications Facility will require the complete facility and any new installation to comply with this Regulation.

Wireless Telecommunications Facility or “Facility” means a facility at a fixed location in the right-of-
Wireless Telecommunications Facility means any facility constructed, installed, or operated for wireless service. “Wireless telecommunications facility” includes, but is not limited to, antennas or other types of equipment for the transmission or receipt of such signals, telecommunications towers or similar structures supporting such equipment, related accessory equipment, equipment buildings, parking areas, and other accessory development. “Wireless telecommunications facility” does not mean any of the following:
Wireless Telecommunications Facility means a facility consisting of the equipment and structures involved in receiving telecommunications or radio signals from a mobile radio communications source and transmitting those signals to a central switching computer which connects the mobile unit with the land- based telephone lines.
Wireless Telecommunications Facility or “Facilities (WTF or WTFs)” means and includes a “Telecommunications Site” and “Personal Wireless Facility”. It means a structure, facility or location designed, or intended to be used as, or used to support antennas or other transmitting or receiving devices. This includes without limit, towers of all types and kinds, and structures, including but not limited to buildings, church steeples, silos, water towers, signs or any other structure that is used or is proposed to be used as a support structure for antennas or the functional equivalent of such. It further includes all related facilities and equipment such as cabling, equipment shelters, and enclosures, cabinets and other structures associated with the facility. It is a structure and facility, including a compound, intended for transmitting and/or receiving wireless communications, including but not limited to radio, television, cellular, SMR, paging, 911, Personal Communications Services (PCS), commercial satellite services, microwave services and any commercial wireless service, permitted by the FCC.
Wireless Telecommunications Facility or “WTF” means a facility used to provide personal wireless services as defined at 47 U.S.C. Section 332(c)(7)(C); or wireless information services provided to the public or to such classes of users as to be effectively available directly to the public via licensed or unlicensed frequencies; or wireless utility monitoring and control services. A WTF does not include a facility entirely enclosed within a permitted building outside of the Rights-of-Way where the installation does not require a modification of the exterior of the building; nor does it include a device attached to a building, used for serving that building only and that is otherwise permitted under other provisions of the Code. A WTF consists of an Antenna or Antennas, including, but not limited to, directional, omni-directional and parabolic Antennas, Base Station, Support Equipment, and (if applicable) a Wireless Tower. It does not include the Support Structure to which the WTF or its components is attached. The term does not include mobile transmitting devices used by wireless service subscribers, such as vehicle or hand held radios/telephones and their associated transmitting Antennas, nor does it include other facilities specifically excluded from the coverage of this Chapter.
