Return to Former Class. An employee who is returned to a former class following promotion, transfer or demotion due to layoff, shall receive that step of the range which he/she would have received had he/she never left the former class.
Return to Former Class. As an alternative to appointment from any employment list, any current regular employee, upon recommendation of the appointing authority and approval by the Chief Administrative Officer or designee, may be appointed without further examination to a position in any class in which regular status had formerly been acquired, or to any related class on a comparable level with the former class.

Return to Former Class. In the event of a layoff, employees who have been promoted during their service with the District may demote to a former classification in their career series they formerly held, if there is a vacancy.
Return to Former Class. Employees are reelected to full-time service in the class from which they are on leave effective immediately following the expiration of their leaves unless they are assigned to a different class prior to return to service in their former class.
