Salary Administration. Section 1. Salary eligibility date is defined as the date an employee is eligible for an annual performance pay increase. The salary eligibility date is computed from the date of hire. Employees shall be eligible for annual performance pay increases on the employees' salary eligibility date provided the employee is not at the top step of the salary range of the employees' classification. The employee may be denied the annual performance pay increase if there has been a serious performance or attendance problem. Denials are subject to review within six (6) months. Denials may be grieved under the provisions of Article 51.
Salary Administration. Section 1(A). Pay. Pay for employees in the bargaining unit shall be in accordance with this Agreement. No changes shall be made in the pay which affect bargaining unit employees unless the parties to this Agreement have negotiated the changes and reached agreement on what changes will be made. This is not intended to prevent mechanical changes or other minor changes necessary to administer the pay.

Salary Administration. Entry Rate: Entry Rate is defined as the salary received by an Employee at the date of appointment to the University or upon moving initially into a position at a higher band level. On moving to a position having a higher band level, the Employee’s salary will be set at the Entry Rate or remain at the present rate which ever is higher. Job Rate: Job Rate is defined as the salary received by an Employee following successful completion of the Entry Rate time period. On moving to a position having a higher Job Rate the Employee’s salary will be set at the Entry Rate or remain at the present rate, which ever is higher. On moving to a position having the same Job Rate, the Employee’s salary will not change. On moving to a position of a lower band, the Employee’s salary shall be at the Job Rate. The length of time it takes to progress from Entry Rate to Job Rate shall be dependent upon the applicable band level as identified under codes A, B and C within Schedule A. (Note: code “A” requires the completion of three (3) months; “B” six (6) months; and, “C” nine (9) months.) Salary Administration. A. For the purpose of this Section 5, the “cost of living increase” (COL) shall be defined as being based upon the average annual CPI-U comprised of the unadjusted percentage change from December of the preceding year to December of the current year.

This Article is intended to provide general information regarding compensation. As such, the information herein shall not be construed as an exhaustive representation of the Employer’s compensation plan.

Salary Administration. Employees shall be paid in accordance with the salary administration article, and the classification pay rates found at Appendix “A” of this Agreement, and as they may be amended from time to time.
Salary Administration. (Institutions Coalition) Underpayments. When an error is made that results in an employee’s monthly pay to be short by one hundred dollars ($100.00) or more, the Agency will issue a check for the difference within three (3) business days of notification.
