Section 7.3. 20 Each employee shall be assigned to a definite shift with designated times of beginning and ending. The 21 first shift is defined as any work shift beginning between 5:00 A.M. and 11:59 A.M. The second shift 22 is defined as any work shift beginning between 12:00 Noon and 9:59 P.M.
Section 7.3. 19 Employees required to work through their regular lunch periods will be given time to eat at a time 20 agreed upon by the employee and his/her supervisor. In the event the District requires an employee to 21 forego his/her lunch period and the employee works his/her entire shift, including the lunch period, 22 he/she shall be compensated for the foregone lunch period.

An 26 employee must work at least six (6) hours per day to receive both rest periods. If a shift is to be 27 changed, notice shall be given as soon as practicable.
