Union Representation on Board Committees. ‌ If the Board shall determine to appoint a district-wide committee, which shall include more than five (5) teachers thereon who shall not be entitled to additional financial compensation excluding mileage for such committee participation and which shall be charged to review and/or report on curricular matter(s) directly affecting the working conditions of teachers, the Union President shall be invited to submit to the superintendent the name of at least one (1) teacher who shall be named to the committee. In the instance of a committee to deal with curriculum matters as described above, the names of the anticipated appointees shall be submitted in writing to the Union president or his/her designee who may select one teacher from such list as a Union representative. Such selection by the Union President shall be within seven (7) calendar days of his/her receipt of such list. If the Union President wishes to select a teacher who is not on the anticipated committee list, he/she may do so and that teacher will be added to the committee as the Union representative. Such Union selected teacher shall meet the district requirements for committee participation prior to such appointment as the Union representative.

Union Representation on Board Committees. The Society agrees, during the term of the Collective Agreement, to allow for representation by bargaining unit employees on certain Board Committees as follows: Social and Child Welfare Policy Committee and other Committees as mutually agreed to by the parties. Representatives shall be appointed, elected or selected by the Union with the approval of the chairpersons of the respective Committees. Such representatives shall be entitled to participateon the respective Committees in the same capacity and subject to the same rights and responsibilitiesas other members of such Committees. Members appointed hereunder shall not suffer any loss of regular earnings for time spent during their normal working hours participating in the required activities of the Committees in question, it being understood, however, that time spent outside working hours shall be without pay and shall not be counted as hours worked for any pay purposes under provisions of the Collective Agreement. Appointments made to the Committees shall be effective during the period of operation of the respective Committees and the Union shall keep the Society advised of the then current representatives on each of the Committees.   • REPRESENTATION AND COMMITTEES (The following clauses will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provisions related to Representation and Committees (including Professional Responsibility) that existed in the Hospital's expiring collective agreement:)

  • ARTICLE UNION REPRESENTATION a) The Employer agrees to recognize a committee of five employees consisting of the President of the local, two (2) part time employees, and two (2) full time employees to negotiate amendments or renewals to this agreement, The Employer agrees to recognize elected Union stewards to assist employees in the presentation of any grievance that properly arises under the provisions of this agreement. The Union agrees to provide the Employer with lists of these stewards and any changes to this list as necessary. The Employer shall recognize up to four (4) employees plus the president of Local to act as Union representatives to the full-time and part-time Employee Relations Committee. It is understood that the committee shall meet periodically at the request of either party. Employees serving on the Employee Relations Committee or any Committee established to address issues of joint concern shall be paid at their regular rate of pay up to or hours per pay period or lieu time in excess of this (as per article a) and for time spent attending the Employee Relations Committee meetings. Part time employees will be paid at least the minimum shift at straight time Employees serving on the Union's Negotiating Committee shall be paid for lost time from his normal straight time working hours at his regular rate of pay, in direct contract negotiations, up to the point of arbitration, for renewal of this Collective Agreement. Upon reference to arbitration, the Negotiating Committee members shall receive unpaid time off with no loss of credits or benefits for the purpose of attending Arbitration Hearings. The Union shall advise the Employer, in writing, the names of its committee. The Employer shall not be obliged to recognize committee members until such time as written notice has been received. The Area Representative may attend meetings at the invitation of the local Union. A representative from may assist in negotiations.

  • UNION REPRESENTATION 3.01 For the purpose of representation with the Employer, the Union shall function and be recognized as follows:
