TEACHER DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT. A one-time elementary teacher allowance equal to the amount received from the Ministry of Education for each full-time and part-time teacher paying Union dues on June 1, 2005, plus teachers on statutory leave as of June 1, 2005 shall be provided. The allowance shall be used between September 1, 2004 and August 31, 2006 for expenses incurred for computers, software, peripherals, professional material, and professional development courses. The parties shall jointly establish reimbursement procedures. Teachers teaching less than full-time shall receive a pro- rated portion of the allowance. It is understood that reimbursements made under the Teacher Development Account are non- taxable. A committee consisting of two (2) representatives from the Union and two (2) representatives from the Board will determine the allocation of any monies not expended from the fund on August 31, 2006. It is understood that the total amount payable shall not exceed the total amount provided for this purpose by the Ministry of Education.

TEACHER DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT. The Board agrees to remit to the Union within three (3) working days of the ratification of this Collective Agreement the teacher development account funds in the amount of $325,274.00 which was forwarded to the LKDSB earlier this year by the Ministry of Education. The Union will be solely responsible for the arrangement for the distribution of said money to members of District 10 who qualify for the funds to cover expenses for teacher determined professional development. TEACHER DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT. A one-time allowance for each full-time teacher shall be provided in an amount to be determined by the Ministry of Education. The allowance shall be used for expenses incurred for computers, software, peripherals, professional material, courses related to their employment and professional development activities. Teachers teaching less than full-time shall receive a prorated portion of the allowance. Teachers shall be entitled to submit a claim, for expenses incurred between September 1, 2004 and December 31, 2005, on or after June 1, 2005 and until June 30, 2006 and shall be reimbursed forthwith. Any unclaimed amounts as of June 30, 2006 shall be made available to Teachers on staff for the purchase of professionally related materials.
TEACHER DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT. A one-time allowance for each full-time teacher on staff with the Board in 2004-2005 has been provided by the Ministry of Education. The Board agrees to provide these funds, in the amount of $503,603 within seven (7) days of ratification by both parties to be administered by the Union to be used by teachers for expenses incurred for computers, software, peripherals, professional materials and courses. The Union shall retain copies of all receipts submitted for reimbursement which shall be provided to the Board in the event that they are required for audit purposes. Any unclaimed amounts as of August 31, 2006, which could otherwise have been paid to teachers shall be retained by the GEETF to be used for professional development.

  • Career Development The City and the Union agree that employee career growth can be beneficial to both the City and the affected employee. As such, consistent with training needs identified by the City and the financial resources appropriated therefore by the City, the City shall provide educational and training opportunities for employee career growth. Each employee shall be responsible for utilizing those training and educational opportunities made available by the City or other institutions for the self- development effort needed to achieve personal career goals.

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year.

  • Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:

The installation referred to in item “c” includes, but is not limited to, offshore platforms, pipelines, Oil and Gas Treatment plants, equipment and facilities for measurement of the inspected Production, wellhead equipment, production pipes, flow lines, tanks, and other facilities exclusively intended for extraction, as well as oil and gas pipelines for Production Outflow and their respective compressor and pumping stations.
