SICK LEAVE FOR LONG TERM OCCASIONAL TEACHERS. 11.1.0. A Long Term Occasional Teacher shall be entitled to one sick leave day upon completion of the first 10 school days of a long term occasional teaching assignment and one sick leave day for each 10 school days subsequently completed in that long term occasional teaching assignment within the same school year.

SICK LEAVE FOR LONG TERM OCCASIONAL TEACHERS a) Teachers employed by a Board to fill a long term teaching assignment that is a full year will be allocated eleven (11) sick days payable at one hundred percent allocated at the commencement of the assignment. A Teacher who is employed by a Board to fill a long term teaching assignment that is less than a full year will be allocated eleven (11) sick days, reduced to reflect the proportion the assignment bears to the length of the regular work year (194 days), and allocated at the start of the assignment. If a teacher’s employment status is less than full- time, the teacher’s allocation of sick leave credits shall be prorated by the ratio that the teacher’s FTE status is to full-time status. Sick leave days may be used for reasons of personal illness and injury and personal medical appointments.

SICK LEAVE FOR LONG TERM OCCASIONAL TEACHERS. 14.01 All absences must be reported through the Principal to the Executive Officer of Human Resources. Absences for personal illness or injury for a period not exceeding five (5) days may be certified by the school Principal unless the Executive Officer of Human Resources asks specifically for certification by a qualified medical or dental practitioner. For absences over five (5) days, a certificate from a qualified medical or dental practitioner may be requested. For absence exceeding one (1) month, the Executive Officer of Human Resources may request a medical certificate from a qualified medical or dental practitioner appointed by the Board. If the Board asks for a medical certificate to be provided, the Occasional Teacher will be reimbursed for the cost of the required certificate.

  • Sick Leave Incentive The City will institute a sick leave incentive based on the usage of the bargaining unit; further, the City will pay each person who qualifies during January of each year. The incentive will be calculated and monitored by the Personnel Department and will be based on the pay periods during a calendar year. The incentive shall be awarded only when the bargaining unit's average sick leave usage is less than the City average and the following conditions are met: When the bargaining unit's sick leave usage is greater than forty (40) hours but less than the City average, the City will pay each member using between zero (0) and sixteen (16) hours of sick leave, eight (8) hours pay and any member using more than sixteen (16) but equal to or less than twenty-four (24) hours, four (4) hours pay. When the bargaining unit's average sick leave usage is equal to or less than forty (40) hours, the City will pay each member who used between zero (0) and sixteen (16) hours, sixteen (16) hours of pay at their current hourly rate. Those members who used more than sixteen (16) but equal to or less than twenty-four (24) hours, will receive eight (8) hours of pay.

  • Sick Leave Donation In accord with state law and Medical Center policy, RN’s may donate sick leave to any employee entitled to receive such donations.

  • Long Term Disability (LTD 4.7.1 The school board shall cooperate in the administration of the LTD Plan. It is understood that administration means that the school board will co-operate with the enrolment and deduction of premiums and provide available necessary data to the insurer, upon request. The school board will remit premiums collected to the carrier on behalf of the teachers.
