Remote Workplace. Injuries If a work-related injury occurs when working remotely, the employee must follow PHC’s injury and incident reporting procedures, just as they would do at a PHC worksite. Insurance If an employee is working from home, they are responsible for ensuring they have adequate and appropriate home insurance coverage and/or that working from home does not breach the terms of their household insurance policies. Municipal/Regional/District Requirements If an employee is working from home, they must ensure that they comply with all municipal or regional bylaws and regulations. The onus is on the employee to determine this as well as to ensure that the work from home arrangement does not contravene any rental or lease agreements, which they must also determine. Taxes It is the employee’s responsibility to determine any income tax implications of maintaining a remote workspace, including a home workspace. The organization will not provide tax guidance nor will the organization assume any additional tax liabilities or issue a T2200. Employees are encouraged to consult with the Canada Revenue Agency regarding income tax implications. Data Collection, Research and Analysis The employee shall agree to participate in any and all data collection, research and analysis relating to Providence Health Care’s Working Remotely initiative. Acknowledgement & Agreement I understand the above terms and conditions of the Agreement and that the terms of this arrangement are subject to change by the employer based on operational considerations. I fully understand the duties, responsibilities, and obligations expressed in this document and recognize that these are my responsibilities as a PHC employee. I also understand that abuse of this Agreement or failure to comply with the PHC Working Remotely policy may result in the Agreement ending immediately.   • Safe Workplace A) The Employer and employees recognize the need for a safe and healthful workplace and agree to take appropriate measures in order that risks of accidents and/or occupational disease are reduced and/or eliminated. Employers will take all reasonable steps to eliminate, reduce and/or minimize threats to the safety of employees.

  • FREE WORKPLACE The Recipient must be in compliance with The Federal Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988. The policies and procedures applicable to violations of these requirements are set forth in 41 U.S.C. §§ 8101-8106.

  • Drug-Free Workplace Contractor represents and warrants that it shall comply with the applicable provisions of the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §701 et seq.) and maintain a drug-free work environment.

  • Workplace The Employee shall be required to perform work at or any other site of work for the Employer.

  • Respectful Workplace a. The Employer is committed to taking appropriate measures to create and maintain a workplace that is respectful and free from inappropriate workplace behavior for all Agency employees pursuant to the statewide policy titled ‘Maintaining a Professional Workplace Policy’ (50.010.03).

  • Access to the Workplace Union health and safety staff or Union consultants shall be provided access to the workplace and to attend meetings of the committee or Union committee or for inspecting, investigating or monitoring the workplace.

  • Violence in the Workplace (a) The parties agree that violence shall be defined as any incident in which an employee is abused, threatened or assaulted while performing his or her work. The parties agree it includes the application of force, threats with or without weapons and severe verbal abuse. The parties agree that such incidents will not be condoned. Any employee who believes he/she has been subjected to such incident shall report this to a supervisor who will make every reasonable effort to rectify the situation. For purposes of sub-article (a) only, employees as referred to herein shall mean all employees of the Employer notwithstanding Article 2.12.

  • DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE WORKPLACE 20.1 All employees must report to work in a condition fit to perform their assigned duties unimpaired by alcohol or drugs.

  • Drug Free Workplace Act The Contractor will assure a drug-free workplace in accordance with 45 CFR Part 76.

  • Safe Working Environment ACM does everything reasonably possible to provide a safe working environment for all of its stakeholders including Suppliers and its own employees and agents. ACM does not tolerate offensive, abusive, bullying, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful behaviour or any form of harassment (“Offending Behaviour”). If a Supplier engages in Offending Behaviour, ACM may suspend or terminate this Milk Supply Agreement.
