Professional Review and Development. 1. Each academic-staff member’s annual report should consist of (a) an updated professional record; (b) a summary of the last three (3) years of the academic-staff member’s activities; and (c) a presentation of current activities, and what results are expected from these activities. All academic-staff members are required to submit an annual report and to participate in this process. Failure to participate in the annual process shall result in no selective- salary increase. Failure to participate in the annual review process two (2) times or more in any five (5)-year period shall also result in the forfeiture of any across-the-board raise. The salary committee’s recommendation may form a basis for an adjustment in workload.
Professional Review and Development. Initial meetings between reviewer and reviewee should not exceed half an hour and a review interview lasting one hour. A further one hour should be allowed for the reviewer to write up the review report. Head teacher reviews will involve a link head teacher from another school and on a planned basis a member of the Directorate. The total time required from each head teacher, reviewer and reviewee should not exceed the equivalent of one day.
Professional Review and Development. 3.9 The opportunity exists to designate a time slot formally within the working week for operation of the Staff Development and Review Scheme. Interviews under the scheme will be held annually. It is suggested that two hours per annum would be sufficient at the level of the individual.   • Training and Development 12.1 The parties are committed to, and acknowledge the mutual benefit to the employer and employee of planned human resource development and the provision and participation in relevant development opportunities (including accredited training).

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Learning and Development (i) Managers and supervisors are responsible for promoting and supporting learning activities for employees in their area of responsibility.

  • Professional Development and Training 4.1 The purpose of professional development and training requirements for interpreters is to maintain the skill levels interpreters possess at the time they pass their interpreter certification examination, and to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Both the State and the Union encourage interpreters to complete training and continuing education activities.
