Policy and/or Group Grievances. Where a dispute involving a question of general application or interpretation occurs, or where a group of employees or the Union has a grievance, it may be submitted at Stage 2 of the grievance procedure. Such grievances must be submitted within fifteen (15) days after the becoming aware of the incident giving rise to the grievance.

Policy and/or Group Grievances. Where a dispute involves a question of general application or interpretation or where a group of employees has a grievance, it may be submitted at Step 2 of the grievance procedure.
Policy and/or Group Grievances. A Policy Grievance is defined as a dispute involving a question of general application or interpretation of the Collective Agreement which may affect a number of employees. A Policy Grievance may be initiated at Stage of the Grievance Procedure within seven (7) calendar days of the Union becoming aware of the problem. It is expressly understood however that a Policy Grievance may not be used to initiate a grievance directly affecting an employee where such employee could herself institute such a grievance and the regular grievance procedure shall not be thereby bypassed. A Group Grievance is one which affects two or more employees and which arises out of an identical set of facts. Such grievance may be initiated at Stage of the Procedure. Such grievance must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days the incident giving rise to the grievance came to the attention of the employees involved. Time limits referred to in the grievance procedure and arbitration procedure may be extended by mutual agreement if specified in ARTICLE ARBITRATION

  • Policy Grievances Where either party to this agreement disputes the general application, interpretation or alleged violation of an article of this agreement, the dispute shall be discussed initially with the Manager, their designate or the Union within 30 calendar days of the occurrence. Where no satisfactory agreement is reached, either party, within a further 14 calendar days, may submit the dispute to arbitration, as set out in Article 9 of this agreement.

  • Group Grievances No more than five (5) grievants will be permitted to attend grievance meetings.

  • Facilities for Grievances The Employer shall supply the necessary facilities for the grievance meetings.

  • Employee Grievances 3.2(a) Grievances on behalf of employees shall be handled as follows:

  • Group Grievance Where a number of employees have identical grievances and each employee would be entitled to grieve separately they may present a group grievance in writing signed by each employee who is grieving to the Administrator or her designate within ten (10) days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have occurred or ought reasonably to have come to the attention of the employee(s). The grievance shall then be treated as being initiated at Step No. 1 and the applicable provisions of this Article shall then apply with respect to the processing of such grievance.

  • Union Grievances 4/7/1 Union officers and stewards who are members of the bargaining unit shall have the right to file a grievance when any provision of this Agreement has been violated or when the Employer interpretation of the terms and provisions of this Agreement leads to a controversy with the Union over application of the terms or provisions of this Agreement.

  • Policy Grievance – Employer Grievance The Employer may institute a grievance alleging a general misinterpretation or violation by the Union or any employee by filing a written grievance with the Bargaining Unit President, with a copy to the Labour Relations Officer within twenty (20) days after the circumstances have occurred. A meeting will be held between the parties within ten (10) days. The Union shall reply within ten (10) days after the meeting, and failing settlement, the matter may be referred to arbitration.

  • Individual Grievances Subject to and as provided in section 208 of the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations Act, an employee who feels that he or she has been treated unjustly or considers himself, herself aggrieved by any action or lack of action by the Employer in matters other than those arising from the classification process, is entitled to present a grievance, as in paragraph (b).
