Overtime - Banked Hours. Prior to working overtime, the employee and the department manager may mutually agree that the employee may take compensatory time off (e.g. one and one-half (1½) hours for each one (1) hour worked) in lieu of overtime pay. The maximum hours which may be banked at any one time shall be thirty (30) hours. The employee and the department manager shall mutually agree as to when the employee may take the banked time off. If the banked time has not been taken as compensatory time off by August 31 of any year, the Company may elect to pay the time in lieu thereof. (See Appendix C for Plant Services)

Overtime - Banked Hours. A maximum of 120 hours may be accrued as banked dollars and may be withdrawn by an employee in whole or in part at time of withdrawal. In the event an employee also wishes time off, such time will be by mutual agreement and subject to the operating needs of the business.
Overtime - Banked Hours. From commencement of this Enterprise Agreement, permanent employees may participate in the Xxxxxx Xxxxx Quarries Overtime Banked Hours Scheme, under the following conditions: • Overtime Banked Hours are not a substitute for annual or personal leave. • Hours cashed-in are paid at the employee’s current permanent classification. • Overtime on public holidays is not available to be banked. • The Overtime Banked Hours Scheme is not available to employees who are temporarily appointed and acting in higher duties. • All ‘banked’ overtime must be paid out annually at the end of the financial year and banking hours balance is reset to zero for the 1st July. • Accrued overtime banked hours is capped at 100 hours collectively at one time. o For example, (BHT1.5 = 75hrs) + (BHT2.0 = 25hrs) = 100hrs. o Once the cap is reached an employee may not accrue any more overtime banked hours until the balance is below 100 hours. • To accrue overtime banked hours – you can select (from eTimesheets) o Bank T1.5 Overtime Hours and advise how many hours at “time and a half” you want to be banked. o Bank T2.0 Overtime Hours advise how many hours of “double-time” you want to be banked. o The quantity will be deducted from the appropriate penalty rate’s total overtime hours worked for that week. • To cash-out banking hours – you can select (from eTimesheets) o Pay Bank T1.5 Overtime Hours and advise how many hours at “time and a half” you want to be cashed-out. o Pay Bank T2.0 Overtime Hours and advise how many hours at “double” you want to be cashed-out. o The quantity will be paid out from the appropriate penalty rate’s total overtime hours worked for that week. • Overtime banked balances will be displayed on the employee’s payslip under Entitlement section. • All employees are responsible for managing their overtime banked hours and ensuring their payslip balances reflect the timesheet instructions submitted that week. • In the instance that it is identified that an employee has accidently accrued in excess of the cap, the Department Manager will arrange for the excess hours to be paid out in the following pay cycle.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Overtime Lieu Time Where an employee has worked an accumulated approved overtime hours (other than overtime hours related to paid holidays) such employee shall have the option of electing payment at the applicable overtime rate or time off equivalent to the applicable overtime rate (i.e. where the applicable rate I time and one-half, then time off shall be at one and one-half times. Where an employee chooses the latter option, such time off must be taken within the succeeding two pay periods of the occurrence of the overtime at a time mutually agreeable to the Hospital and the employee, or payment in accordance with the former option shall be made. An employee shall not be required to take time off to avoid payment of overtime.

  • Shift Hours All shifts assigned by the Employer must conform with the following guidelines:

  • Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.

  • Standard Hours (1) Except as otherwise provided, the standard workweek shall consist of five consecutive days from Monday to Friday, inclusive.

  • Scheduled Hours Hours falling within an employee's scheduled tour.

  • Extended Hours Depending upon local service capabilities, available extended hour plans include 5-, 6-, and 7-day, 8-, 16-, and 24-hour options at additional cost. Alaris will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide Service outside of Agreement Hours as shown below. Any such service performed will be billed at prevailing Alaris Per Call Overtime rates.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • TEACHING HOURS A. The teacher’s normal teaching hours in the secondary and elementary schools shall be as follows:

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.
