Afterward, trainees can make a conscience decision as to which trade they aspire to pursue and receive a certificate of completion. This will broaden the labor pool available in the construction industry that has faced challenges due to the pandemic the past two years, capitilaize on on-the-job training components with projects under the auspices of the Oregon Department of Transportation and those employment opportunities secured under the TERO program and its Memorandum of Understanding with ODOT for construction opportunities in Northeast Oregon. Outcomes Upon successful completion, participants will earn the following credentials: Traffic Control, OSHA 10, Forklift, Welding simulator training, operator simulator training, First Aid/CPR. They will also receive training in employability skills, life experience methods and exposure to Uniion career opportunities.

Students will obtain NCCER Core Curriculum Certificate of Completion, NCCER Blue Card, OSHA 10 Card, First Aid/CPR Card, high school diploma or GED, four (4) high school diploma credits in construction trade skills, an Algebra course with a grade of C or better; develop a Portfolio Plan and résumé; and build one (1) single family home.
