Military Leave of Absence with Pay. Every employee covered by this Agreement who is a member of a reserve component of the armed forces of the United States shall be granted in accordance with Section 59 of Chapter 33 of the General Laws, leave of absence with pay, during the time of his/her annual tour of duty and/or weekend duty as a member of such reserve component; provided, however, that such leave shall not exceed seventeen (17) calendar days.
Military Leave of Absence with Pay. In accordance with legislation which became effective on July 16, 1951, and amended Section 395 of the Military and Veterans Code, the Board of Education authorized the payment of compensation to all Bargaining Unit members for the first thirty (30) calendar days of military service providing they have served the District for at least one (1) year. Military service may not be counted as District service in order to meet the required one (1) year of public service if leave is other than temporary. Leaves other than temporary shall apply to the regular Army and Navy, as well as Reserves.
Military Leave of Absence with Pay. An employee who is a member of the National Guard, the United States Army Reserve, the United States Air Force Reserve, the United States Naval Reserve, the United States Marine Corps Reserve, or the United States Coast Guard Reserve, shall be entitled to leave of absence from their respective duties, without loss of pay, on all days during which they are employed with or without pay under the orders or authorization of competent authority on active training duty or duty with troops or at field exercise or for instruction, for not to exceed fifteen (15) workdays in any one (1) payroll year. Such leave of absence shall be in addition to the regular vacation leave of such employees. Any employee on military leave shall not be counted as being on leave for the purposes of determining the maximum number of employees who are on annual leave.
Military Leave of Absence with Pay. All employees who are members of the Ohio National Guard, the Ohio organized militia, or members of other reserve components of the Armed Forces of the United States are entitled to leave of absence from their respective duties without loss of pay, for such time as they are performing service in the uniformed services as defined in Section 5923.05 of the Ohio Revised Code for up to twenty-two (22), eight (8) hour work days or not to exceed 176 hours in any one calendar year.

  • Military Leave With Pay Any employee who shall be a member of the National Guard, the Naval Militia or any other component of the militia of the state, now or hereafter organized or constituted under state or federal law, or who shall be a member of the Officers Reserve Corps, the Enlisted Reserve Corps, the Naval Reserve, the Marine Corps Reserve or any other reserve component of the military or naval force of the United States, now or hereafter organized or constituted under federal law, shall be entitled to leave of absence from employment without loss of pay, seniority status, efficiency rating, vacation, sick leave or other benefits for all the time when such employee is engaged with such organization or component in training or active service ordered or authorized by proper authority pursuant to law, whether for state or federal purposes, provided that such leave shall not exceed a total of fifteen (15) days in any calendar year and further provided that such leave shall be allowed only in case the required military or naval service is satisfactorily performed, which shall be presumed unless the contrary is established. Such leave shall not be allowed unless the employee 1) returns to his/her position immediately upon being relieved from such military or naval service and not later than the expiration of time herein limited for such leave; or 2) is prevented from so returning by physical or mental disability or other cause not due to such employee’s own fault; or 3) is required by proper authority to continue in such military or naval service beyond the time herein limited for such leave. Any employee who is a member of the armed forces or National Guard and who is called to active duty may be eligible for pay continuation pursuant to the requirements of M.S. §471.975.

Employees shall make application for reinstatement within ninety (90) days and shall report for duty within six (6) months following separation from active duty. Failure to comply may terminate military leave. If it is established that he/she is not physically qualified to perform the duties of his/her former position by reason of such service, he/she shall be reinstated in other work that he/she is able to perform at the nearest appropriate level of pay of his/her former class. An employee voluntarily or involuntarily seeking military leave without pay to attend service school shall be entitled to such leave during a period of active duty training. Military leaves of absence without pay shall be granted in compliance with the Veterans' Reemployment Rights Law, Title 38 USC Chapter 43. However, such reduction in salary will not be made for an FLSA- exempt employee to testify on temporary military leave except for full workweek increments where such leave causes an absence of one (1) or more full workweeks.

  • Extended Military Leave 1. Extended military leave shall be granted to an employee who enlists or is ordered into active duty in the United States Armed Forces or a reserve component or who is ordered into active Federal military duty as a member of the National Guard or Naval Militia. Such leave shall be granted for active-duty service of any length or for active-duty training in excess of 180 days.
