Media Relations. A. The interests of the news media must be balanced with the requirements of the investigations and with the rights of the involved individuals. B. Any agency may make statements to the media about an incident, but the following guidelines are recommended: 1. The Department head or designee of the Venue Agency should be the single point of media information until the matter is referred to the County Attorney.
