Chief of Police. The term "Chief of Police" as used in this Agreement refers to the individual on each campus who manages the Department of Public Safety, Police Department or Police Services, or his/her designee, regardless of whether the individual possesses the title Chief of Police, Director of Public Safety or some other title as determined by the President

Chief of Police. The Village/Town Chief of Police or their authorized representative or authorized representative from the Sheriff's Department.
Chief of Police. If the grievance is not resolved in Step 1 and the grievant and/or Lodge Grievance Representative wishes to proceed to Step 2, the grievant and/or Lodge Grievance Representative shall reduce the grievance to writing and shall, within seven (7) calendar days of the answer at Step 1, present the written grievance to the Chief or designee. In investigating the grievance, the Chief or designee may meet with the grievant and Lodge Grievance Representative. The Chief of Police or designee shall investigate and respond in writing to the grievant and Lodge Grievance Representative within fourteen (14) calendar days following the presentation of the grievance to Step 2.
Chief of Police. If a grievance is not settled in Step 1, the grievant may proceed to Step 2 by delivering the grievance form, with the supervisor's Step 1 answer noted thereon, to the Chief of Police within three (3) of the grievant's working days following the grievant's receipt of his supervisor's Step 1 answer. If the Chief is absent due to vacation or other leave, the duties of the Chief under this step shall be assumed by the officer acting in place of the Chief. The Chief of Police shall note on the grievance form the date and time he received it. The Chief shall fully investigate the grievance, affix his written answer to the grievance form, sign and date the form, and deliver a copy of it to the grievant, or in the grievant's absence, to the F.O.P. employee representative designated thereon, within five (5) of the Chief's working days following his receipt of the grievance form. If the grievant does not process the grievance to Step 3 within the time limits specified for Step 3, the Chief's answer shall be final. If the Chief fails to respond to the grievant within the time limits provided for in this step, the grievance may be appealed to the next step of the grievance procedure.
Chief of Police. If the employee and the Immediate Supervisor are unable to resolve the grievance at Step 2, the employee may process the grievance at Step 3 of the procedure. The grievant must present the written alleged grievance which may contain additional relevant information to the Chief of Police within seven (7) calendar days following the reply at Step 2. It shall be the responsibility of the Chief to investigate and provide written answers to the grievant within seven (7) calendar days following the day on which the Chief was presented the Grievance.

Chief of Police. Failing satisfactory settlement, the grievance shall be submitted to the Chief of Police within ten (10) days of failing satisfactory settlement or within thirty (30) days of the time the incident, giving rise to the grievance, came to the attention of the grievor. The Chief of Police shall meet with the grievor and UNION representatives. The Chief of Police shall deliver his written decision to the UNION within five (5) days of receipt of the grievance.
Chief of Police. The grievant must file a written grievance (see Appendix B) with the Chief of Police (“Chief”) or his designee. Such grievance shall set forth a statement of the grievant’s position, the Article of the Agreement allegedly violated, the date of the alleged violation, the relief sought and the signature of the grieving officer(s). Within ten (10) calendar days after the grievance has been submitted to the Chief, the grievant and his Union representative, may meet with the Chief or otherwise discuss the grievance. If no agreement is reached in such discussion or no such discussion is held, the Chief’s written answer is due within ten (10) calendar days from the date of the meeting or if no meeting is held within ten (10) days from when the grievance was filed.
Chief of Police. If the grievance is not resolved at Step 1, the employee shall have the right to appeal in writing, within five (5) days after receipt of the Division Commander’s written answer to the grievance to the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police shall issue a decision or schedule a meeting within three (3) days of the filing of the grievance at Step 2 to discuss the matter with the employee and Union representative. If a meeting is held, the Chief of Police shall provide a written answer to the employee with a copy to the Union within three (3) days of the meeting. If the employee does not invoke Step 3 of this procedure within five (5) working days after the answer of the Chief of Police, said grievance shall be considered satisfactorily resolved.
