Managers/Supervisors. Managers/Supervisors are responsible for the overall control of their operations, particularly employee relations. To this end Managers/Supervisors should: * Establish and maintain effective working relationships. * Ensure employees have an excellent understanding and carry out their Employee Relations responsibilities. * Maintain high standards of behaviour and performance and take necessary steps to deal with any breaches of those standards. * Take appropriate steps to provide relevant training for employees in the competencies expected of them. * Ensure that workplace health, safety and welfare standards are effectively maintained. * Provide appropriate feedback as a means of enhancing employee performance both collectively and individually. * Ensure that the provisions of the relevant Award and Enterprise Agreement are adhered to. * React and respond to any potential areas of friction and dispute at an early stage and inform the next level of management, as appropriate. * Be honest and fair with other employees and treat them with respect and dignity. * Ensure that Company operational, administrative and security policies and procedures, are understood and followed by all employees. * Provide counselling, training and where necessary, take disciplinary action. * Be receptive to the concept of collaboration and open communication.   • CONTRACTOR’S SUPERINTENDENCE Add the following at the end of the first paragraph of sub-clause 15.1: “The Contractor shall, within Fourteen (14) days of receipt of the Engineer’s order to commence the works inform the Engineer in writing the name of the Contractor’s Representative and the anticipated date of his arrival on site. The Contractor shall also submit a specimen signature of his proposed Site Agent /Road Manager who SHALL be the only signatory to payment of certificates/Monthly statements from the Contractor. Add the following Sub-clause 15.2 ‘SUBCLAUSE 15.2- LANGUAGE ABILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS OF CONTRACTOR’S AUTHORISED AGENT Unless otherwise stated in the tender document, the Contractor’s Agent or Representative on the site shall have a minimum qualification of a Registered Professional Engineer (Highways) and shall be able to read and write English fluently. The Contractor’s Agent or Representative shall have at least 5 years relevant experience as a Site Agent.

  • Manager 5.1. Rules relating to the rights, duties and responsibilities of the Managers shall be governed by the Act. Such provisions are hereinafter incorporated into this Agreement by reference. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Manager shall have the powers set forth in Paragraph 5.3 below.

  • CONSTRUCTION MANAGER’S SERVICES The services which the Construction Manager shall provide include, but are not limited to, those described or specified herein. The services described or specified shall not be deemed to constitute a comprehensive specification having the effect of excluding services not specifically mentioned.

  • Supervisors Supervisors may continue to perform bargaining unit work which is incidental to their jobs. They may also perform bargaining unit work in emergency situations and where such work is necessary to train a covered member. Such work by supervisors may result from but shall not cause any layoffs of covered members.

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply.

  • Supervisor A. Within ten (10) business days from the occurrence of the matter on which a complaint is based, or within ten (10) business days from his/her knowledge of such occurrence, an employee shall file a formal written grievance. Three copies of the departmental grievance form shall be completed by the employee stating the nature of the grievance and the remedy requested from his/her departmental Management. The employee shall submit two copies to his/her immediate supervisor and retain the third copy.

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 18.01 A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.

  • Project Managers; Meetings 10.1 Promptly following the Effective Date, each Party shall designate a Project Manager responsible for coordinating the Party’s Work and shall provide the other Party with a written notice containing the name and contact information of such Project Manager (“Project Manager”). In no event shall any Project Manager be authorized to amend or modify the provisions of this Agreement. Each Party may change its Project Manager, from time to time, by written notice to the other Party.

  • Immediate Supervisor The term "immediate supervisor" as used in this Article refers to the appropriate non-bargaining unit supervisory or management person to whom the employee is accountable.

  • Construction Manager’s Fee The following shall be deemed included in the Construction Manager’s fee for services during the Construction Phase.
