Employment While on Leave. An illness leave period is considered as beginning on the first day for which illness is claimed at the time the employee usually reports for work extending through the last day for which illness is claimed until the time the employee usually leaves the job. If, between these two times, the employee is engaged in any gainful employment, he/she will be required to forfeit any illness pay claimed during the period of employment.
Employment While on Leave. An employee, while on leave of absence, may not 16 accept other gainful employment with another employer, except ordered military, 17 other government service, or per Section P.2.d above without express prior approval 18 of the Board of Education. 19
Employment While on Leave. A Professional Staff Member on any leave under this section will be employed for political or ASSOCIATION leave in this article. For any other leave, they may have employment if it is included in the original request for leave and approved.
Employment While on Leave. 1. A Unit Member on sabbatical leave shall not render teaching service for compensation in another educational institution, provided; however, that this shall not preclude the acceptance of a fellowship or other assistance in research.
Employment While on Leave. No employee shall take up other employment while on leave.
Employment While on Leave. An employee may not engage in employment during his/her normal duty hours while on compensated leave except as specifically provided herein.
Employment While on Leave. An employee, while on unpaid leave of absence previously approved by the Board of Trustees, may accept other employment provided the leave is primarily utilized for the reasons stated in the leave request. Employees on leave of absence will notify the District’s Human Resources Department of such employment. Employees may receive payment for military service.
Employment While on Leave. In no event shall a leave of absence be used for the purpose of engaging in other employment. If it is determined that an employee is abusing the leave of absence and not actually using the leave for the purpose(s) specified, the Employer may cancel the leave and provide the employee with a written notice directing the employee to report.
Employment While on Leave. Except for substitute service as provided in 6.134, no teacher on leave shall accept other full-time employment.
Employment While on Leave. Any teacher placed on such leave may engage in teaching or any other occupation during such period and may be eligible for unemployment compensation if otherwise eligible under that law for such compensation and such leave will not result in a loss of credit for years of service in the School District earned prior to the commencement of such leave.
