Emergency-Personal Business. Absence without loss of salary shall be allowed for a period of three (3) days for the teacher's personal business. These three (3) days are not accumulative and are not charged against the cumulative reserve. The teacher will be asked to explain the reason for any personal leave requested for a school day immediately before or after a holiday, weekend, or vacation period, and reasonable restrictions may be imposed on personal leaves on such days. Flagrant violations of this agreement would be cause for negotiations toward cancellation of the privilege of personal leave. All requests for personal leave must be submitted in writing, on a form provided by the Board, to the Superintendent at least three (3) days in advance of days requested. A verbal request will be considered if an emergency is of a nature to make advance request impossible.

Emergency-Personal Business. 1. A maximum of three (3) days per year shall be granted upon request on the form provided to attend to matters of emergency personal business which are so pressing that they demand immediate attention and can be taken care of only during the working day period. This day may be used on the day before or the day after a holiday or vacation, provided prior approval has been granted by the Superintendent. The determination of the Superintendent herein shall not be subject to the Grievance Procedure. It is understood that Contracted Driver shall sign the statement that the time required is for a matter of an emergency nature.

  • Personal Safety 1. The employer and the Union agree that students must be held accountable for their conduct in the classroom, on campus, and at school-sponsored events.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.

  • Personal Illness Employees may use accumulated sick leave for hours off due to personal illness. The employee may be required to furnish a medical certificate from a qualified physician as evidence of illness or physical disability in order to qualify for paid sick leave as per District practice.   • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments. These leaves may be extended by the PVPAA upon recommendation of the xxxx for up to one (1) year.
