Continuous Service Pay. For members of the bargaining unit who complete twenty (20) years of service as an employee of the City of Hayward on or after January 1, 2006, the member shall receive a two percent (2%) Continuous Service Pay on the member’s 20th anniversary and an additional one percent (1%) Continuous Service Pay on each succeeding anniversary to and including the member’s 30th anniversary. Members of the bargaining unit with more than 20 years of service as of January 1, 2006 shall receive Continuous Service Pay in the amount they would have been receiving if this schedule had been in effect on the date of their 20th anniversary and thereafter.

Continuous Service Pay. For purposes of this section only, continuous paid experience with the City of Hayward that is contiguous to an employee’s most recent hire date by the City of Hayward shall be considered for the purpose of calculating continuous service and eligibility for continuous service pay. An employee with twenty-five (25) or more years of continuous service with the City of Hayward shall receive continuous service pay of two and a half percent (2.5%) above their base salary. An employee with thirty (30) or more years of continuous service with the City of Hayward shall receive additional continuous service pay of five percent (5%) for a total of seven- and one-half percent (7.5%) above their base salary. In no case shall an employee receive more than a total of seven- and one-half percent (7.5%) above their base salary on account of continuous service pay. This benefit shall be implemented effective the first full pay period following Council adoption for all then-current bargaining unit employees who meet the above years of service thresholds. Going forward, continuous service pay shall be implemented the first full pay period following the employee’s anniversary date that triggers eligibility for such pay. Continuous service pay shall be payable on employees’ regular paychecks. Continuous Service Pay shall be reported to CalPERS as Longevity Incentive Pay. The Parties acknowledge that XxxXXXX makes all final determinations as to the pensionability of any differential pay.
Continuous Service Pay. Employees in the Public Safety Dispatcher, Public Safety Lead Dispatcher, , and Senior Property Evidence Specialist classifications, after five years of continuous service in the classification and satisfactory or better evaluations, shall receive five percent (5%) in additional pay to their base salary.
Continuous Service Pay. For the purpose of this Section only, continuous, paid experience in a relevant classification unique to the Hayward Police Department that is contiguous with the employee’s acceptance into the Police Academy shall be considered experience as an Officer for the purpose of calculating years of continuous service and eligibility for continuous service pay. Officers who have experience as a sworn Police Officer with the City of Hayward for fifteen (15) years or more shall be entitled to “permanent” compensation of three percent (3%) above the basic salary step currently held. Officers who have experience as a sworn Police Officer with the City of Hayward for twenty (20) years or more shall be entitled to “permanent” compensation of six percent (6%) above the basic salary step currently held. Officers who have experience as a sworn Police Officer with the City of Hayward for twenty-five (25) years or more shall be entitled to “permanent” compensation of ten percent (10%) above the basic salary step currently held. In no case will an Officer receive more than a total of ten percent (10%) above the basic salary step currently held by reason of the Officer’s continuous service, and in no case will an Officer receive more than a total of twenty percent (20%) above the basic salary step currently held by reason of the Officer’s combined continuous service and participation in the Police Education Incentive Program as outlined in Section 15.01. Employees receiving “permanent” additional compensation based on the Education Incentive structure in place prior to July 1, 2018 that is higher than the additional compensation they would be eligible for under the structure provided in this Section and Section 15.01, Police Education Incentive Program, combined, effective July 1, 2018, will have their additional compensation frozen at its current level until such time that they would be eligible for a higher benefit under this Section and Section 15.01, combined.
Continuous Service Pay. Continuous service pay shall be paid to all permanent employees annually as follows: After five (5) years of continuous service $ 50.00 After ten (10) years of continuous service $ 65.00 After fifteen (15) years of continuous service $130.00 After twenty (20) years of continuous service $260.00 After twenty-five (25) years of continuous service $520.00 To be paid out in the final pay period of the year. Those employees who resign or retire prior to the end of the year will be paid service pay prorated to the last day of employment.

Related to Continuous Service Pay

  • Continuous Service The Parties shall continue providing services to each other during the pendency of any dispute resolution procedure, and the Parties shall continue to perform their obligations (including making payments in accordance with Article IV, Section 4) in accordance with this Agreement.

  • Breaks in Continuous Service An employee's continuous service record shall be broken by voluntary resignation, discharge for just cause, and retirement.

  • Termination of Service Termination of Service shall mean the Executive's voluntary resignation of service by the Executive or the Bank's discharge of the Executive without cause, prior to the Early Retirement Date (Subparagraph I [K]).

  • Continuous Employment For purposes of this Agreement, the continuous employment of the Grantee with the Company or a Subsidiary shall not be deemed to have been interrupted, and the Grantee shall not be deemed to have ceased to be an employee of the Company or Subsidiary, by reason of (a) the transfer of the Grantee’s employment among the Company and its Subsidiaries or (b) an approved leave of absence.

  • Death or Disability The Executive's employment shall terminate automatically upon the Executive's death during the Employment Period. If the Company determines in good faith that the Disability of the Executive has occurred during the Employment Period (pursuant to the definition of Disability set forth below), it may give to the Executive written notice in accordance with Section 12(b) of this Agreement of its intention to terminate the Executive's employment. In such event, the Executive's employment with the Company shall terminate effective on the 30th day after receipt of such notice by the Executive (the "Disability Effective Date"), provided that, within the 30 days after such receipt, the Executive shall not have returned to full-time performance of the Executive's duties. For purposes of this Agreement, "Disability" shall mean the absence of the Executive from the Executive's duties with the Company on a full-time basis for 180 consecutive business days as a result of incapacity due to mental or physical illness which is determined to be total and permanent by a physician selected by the Company or its insurers and acceptable to the Executive or the Executive's legal representative.

  • Termination of Employment Executive's employment hereunder may be terminated under the following circumstances:

  • Continuous Operation The work week shall provide for continuous operation based on a seven (7) day week, twenty-four (24) hours per day.

  • Restriction of Employee Status The status of all employees covered by this Agreement shall be defined under one of the preceding three (3) definitions. If a dispute arises over the proper allocation of employee status, such dispute shall be resolved through Article 9.04
