Police Academy Clause Samples
Police Academy. In the event the Ohio University Police Department pays for a Cadet’s police academy training, the Cadet will be required to remain employed with the Department for a period of two (2) years after completing the academy. If the Cadet voluntarily resigns from his/her employment within this two (2) year period the cadet will be required to reimburse the University for any and all costs paid on the employee’s behalf for the Police Academy training. This provision only applies when the employee elects to resign, not if the employee is terminated or laid off.
Police Academy. All new police officers must be enrolled in a certified police academy within twelve (12) months and graduate from the same within eighteen (18) months from date of hire. If the Employee fails the police academy at any time, he/she may be discharged, and said failing of the academy shall be cause for discharge. If the new Employee is not able to attend a certified academy because of work scheduling of the Employer, the Employer shall make every effort to send the new Employee to a certified police academy as soon as the work load permits. An Employee’s probationary period does not end until expiration of the nine (9) months probationary period following graduation from a certified academy.
Police Academy. Any academy which the BCSO operates outside this partnership (that is for the sole enrollment of its employees or applicants) will be provided classroom space at no charge to the BCSO. Use of lab facilities, both interior and outside, will be rented at the usual and customary fees.
Police Academy. Employees required by the Sheriff to attend the Police Academy shall receive a clothing reimbursement upon presentation of evidence of purchase(s) up to a maximum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). The clothing reimbursement is only for those items purchased as required by the Police Academy which the employee does not already have.
