Unpaid Meal Breaks. All employees working shifts of five (5) to eight (8) hours are entitled to an unpaid meal break between the third (3rd) and fifth (5th) hour of work. Such meal breaks shall not be less than one-half hour (1/2) nor more than one (1) hour on the employees own time.
Unpaid Meal Breaks. An Employee shall be permitted an unpaid meal break of one (1) hour during a shift (7 hours). Employees may be required to remain at their workstations during meal breaks.
Unpaid Meal Breaks. (a) An Employee who works in excess of six (6) hours will receive an unpaid meal break of not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes, unless there is an operational requirement for the Employee to work in excess of six (6) hours prior to receiving an unpaid meal break.
Unpaid Meal Breaks. An employee must not work for longer than five hours without an unpaid break for a meal of a minimum of thirty minutes and no longer than 2 hours.
Unpaid Meal Breaks. The Employer and the Union agree to unpaid Meal Breaks that vary from and supersede the unpaid Meal Break requirements of Federal and State law. Unpaid Meal Breaks for employees working more than five (5) consecutive hours, if entitled, will be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes and will be scheduled as close to the middle of the work shift as possible. Employees working three (3) or more hours longer than a normal workday will be allowed an additional thirty (30) minute unpaid Meal Break. When an employee’s unpaid Meal Break is interrupted by work duties, the employee will be allowed to resume their unpaid Meal Break following the interruption, if possible, to complete the unpaid Meal Break. In the event an employee is unable to complete the unpaid Meal Break due to an operational necessity, they will be entitled to compensation, which will be computed based on the actual number of minutes worked within the unpaid Meal Break. Meal Breaks may not be used for late arrival or early departure from work and Meal Breaks and Rest Periods will not be combined.
Unpaid Meal Breaks. Employees working a shift of more than five (5) hours shall receive an unpaid meal period of not less than one half (½) hour commencing not earlier than two (2) hours after their shift started and not later than five (5) hours into their shift. An eligible employee shall advise, and the Manager shall note on the schedule, whenever the employee was unable to take an unpaid meal period. All breaks shall be taken on the store premises where if the employee were to leave the premises it would result in less than two employees on the premises. For the purposes of this article only, management shall be included in the employee count.

Unpaid Meal Breaks. Where SPCA, within a 24 hour period, • does not conduct a straight eight operation but • operates less than three shifts or • runs three production shifts, the last shift being a short shift and a separate crew for a fourth short shift of cleaning in a defined area; an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes duration shall be taken as near as possible to the mid point of each shift. The parties agree that if production does not cease within five minutes of the 22 hours working time having elapsed, all employees working within the defined area shall be entitled to a paid meal break.
