Environmental Management Plans definition

Environmental Management Plans or “EMPs” means the plans to be prepared by the Recipient and the Project Implementing Entities in accordance with Section I.E.1(b) of Schedule 2 to this Agreement and the Environmental and Social Safeguard Instruments, defining details of measures to manage potential environmental risks and mitigate, reduce and/or offset adverse environmental impacts associated with the implementation of Project activities, together with adequate institutional, monitoring and reporting arrangements capable of ensuring proper implementation of, and regular feedback on compliance with, its terms.
Environmental Management Plans or “EMPs” means the Associated Infrastructure Environmental Management Plan and the Project Environmental Management Plans;
Environmental Management Plans means the plans and policies to be used by the Contractor in accordance with Clause 13 (Environment);

More Definitions of Environmental Management Plans

Environmental Management Plans or “EMPs” means the two Social and Environmental Assessment (“SEA”) reports in respect of the Project and the UETC Line being financed and constructed for the benefit of UETC (the “UETC Line Project”), both dated December 2006, adopted by the Company and approved by the Association; the EMPs also set out the actions, measures, monitoring arrangements and other activities to be undertaken by the Company, as well as UETC and the Government, during implementation of the Project and the UETC Line Project, to mitigate adverse environmental and social impacts, offset them, or reduce them to acceptable levels, as such plans may be amended from time to time with the prior agreement of the Association;
Environmental Management Plans means the plans, prepared and adopted by MEC satisfactory to the Bank, describing the specific environmental mitigation, monitoring and institutional measures required for the identified mines to be closed under the Project; and such term shall also include the plans to be prepared, pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 5 of Part A of Schedule 5 to this Agreement, describing the specific environmental mitigation, monitoring and institutional measures required for mines and ancillary facilities proposed to be included under Part A of the Project; and the plans to be prepared and adopted by AZM, satisfactory to the Bank, pursuant to the provisions of Part E of Schedule 5 to this Agreement, describing the specific environmental mitigation, monitoring and institutional measures required for the municipal infrastructure facilities proposed to be upgraded under Part B.2 (b) of the Project;
Environmental Management Plans and “EMPs” mean the plans to be prepared as provided for in the ESAMF.

Environmental Management Plans means, collectively, the environmental management plans which are a part of (i) the Environmental Assessment prepared for the Bagacay abandoned mine site and (ii) the Environmental Assessment for all other year 1 activities, each dated November 29, 2006, prepared for the activities to be carried out during the first year of the Project implementation, which said plans sets out the environmental protection measures in respect of such activities, including risk remedial measures related to abandoned mine and measures to stabilize and rehabilitate tailings ponds and address the risks associated with the tailings ponds rehabilitation, as well as administrative and monitoring arrangements to ensure the implementation of said plan, as said plan may be revised from time to time with the agreement of the Bank.
