Environmental Management Plan. Prior to the commencement of any demolition and remedial works an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) must be prepared for the site and submitted to the City’s Area Planning Manager for written approval prior to the commencement of work. The EMP must consider all potential environmental impacts from the approved works including but not limited to sedimentation control, contamination containment, stockpiles, noise and vibration, odours and dust emissions. All works must be undertaken onsite in accordance with the approved Environmental Management Plan.

Environmental Management Plan. The scope of this package is to perform an assessment of the Site specific environmental information and data collected by Owner and define the impacts on the standard design and the design criteria for the Site specific design. This work to include: • Water run-off; • Erosion and Sedimentation Control; • Plant and animal data and protection requirements; • Wetlands requirements; • Existing potential hazardous materials; • State and local regulations; • Any other potential items that could impact design or construction. Based on this assessment, requirements would be developed for the designers and construction team to use in the work. These requirements would be incorporated into the appropriate project procedures and used for the preparation of any Government Approvals.

Environmental Management Plan. The environmental management plan prepared by the Subconsultant and finalised under clause 7.4 which sets out in adequate detail the procedures the Subconsultant will implement to manage the Subcontract Services from an environmental perspective and which must describe how the Subconsultant proposes to ensure the Subcontract Services will be performed consistently with and so as to maximise the achievement of: the Environmental Requirements; the Statutory Requirements; without limiting paragraph (b), the Energy Policy for Commonwealth Agencies, Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Defence Green Procurement Policy; the ESD Principles; and the Environmental Objectives, and in accordance with the Consultant's Environment Management Plan. Environmental Objectives The Environmental Objectives are to: encourage best practice environmental management through planning, commitment and continuous improvement; prevent and minimise adverse impacts on the Environment; identify the potential for, and respond to, Environmental Incidents, accidents and emergency situations and take corrective action; identify and control possible environmental hazards associated with the Works and the Subcontract Services; establish procedures to ensure that no hazardous substance is stored on Commonwealth land without approval; recognise and protect any special environmental characteristics of the Site (including cultural heritage significance); define roles and responsibilities for personnel; ensure environmental training and awareness programmes are provided to employees; define how the management of the Environment during the Subcontract Services is reported and performance evaluated; describe all monitoring procedures required to identify impacts on the Environment as a result of the Works and the Subcontract Services; implement complaint reporting procedures and maintain records of complaints and response to complaints; and establish and maintain programs and procedures for periodic Environmental Management Plan audits to be carried out.
