WORKS CONTRACT. No order for works is authorised until a Public Works Contract published by the Department of Finance is signed.
WORKS CONTRACT. 13. The Borrower, through the Project Provinces, shall ensure that (a) Works contractors comply with all applicable labor laws and related international treaty obligations, and (b) the bidding document for Works contracts shall include provisions to require the contractors to (i) provide equal pay for equal work; (ii) provide the timely payment of wages; (iii) use local unskilled labor, as applicable; (iv) comply with core labor standards and the applicable labor laws and regulations, including stipulations related to employment; and (v) not employ child labor or trafficked labor for any activities. The Borrower shall cause each of the Project Provinces to ensure that its relevant records of labor employment (disaggregated by gender and ethnic minority groups) are properly maintained and tracked in the Project performance monitoring system, and compliance is strictly monitored.

The Borrower shall cause the Executing Agencies to ensure that all Works contracts incorporate provisions and budgets to the effect that contractors will: (a) comply with applicable core labor standards, labor laws and incorporate applicable workplace occupational safety norms; (b) disseminate, or engage appropriate service providers to disseminate information on the risks of sexually transmittable infections, including HIV/AIDS, to the employees of contractors engaged under the Project and to members of the local communities surrounding the Project facilities, particularly to females; (c) not differentiate payment between men and women for work of equal value; (d) not employ child labor; (e) eliminate any form of discrimination in respect of employment; and (f) to the extent possible, maximize employment of women, local poor and disadvantaged persons for construction purposes, provided that the requirements for efficiency are adequately met.

Related to WORKS CONTRACT

  • Project contract 1. For each approved project a project contract shall be concluded between the Programme Operator and the Project Promoter.

  • Project Contracts Authority shall upon its election, succeed, without the necessity of any further action by the Concessionaire, to the interests of the Concessionaire under such of the Project Contracts as the Authority may in its discretion deem appropriate, and shall upon such election be liable to the Contractors only for compensation accruing and becoming due and payable to them under the terms of their respective Project Contracts from and after the date the Authority elects to succeed to the interests of the Concessionaire. For the avoidance of doubt, it is hereby agreed, and the Concessionaire hereby acknowledges, that all sums claimed by such Contractors as being due and owing for works and services performed or accruing on account of any act, omission or event prior to such date shall constitute debt between the Concessionaire and such Contractors, and the Authority shall not in any manner be liable for such sums. It is further agreed that in the event the Authority elects to cure any outstanding defaults under such Project Contracts, the amount expended by the Authority for this purpose shall be deducted from the Termination Payment.

  • Contract Work The provision of goods and services identified in the Contract constitute the contract work (Contract Work). Contractor shall perform the Contract Work pursuant to the terms of the Contract. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, appliances and appurtenances for the Contract Work in strict conformity with this Contract, within the time-period prescribed by the City.

  • Customer Contracts 6.2.1 The Redistributor should ensure that its contracts with its Customers give it all necessary rights to control and monitor Data use.

  • Construction Contract If federal funds are included as part of the financing of the non-OPWC portion of the Project, federal law may prevail, including, but not limited to, application of Xxxxx Xxxxx prevailing wage rates, the Xxxxxxxx “Anti-Kickback” Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and any federal environmental regulations. Recipient is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with federal requirements applicable to its Local Subdivision Contribution. Notwithstanding the above, the following provisions apply to construction contracts under this Agreement:

  • Construction Contracts Item A: Enter the total dollar amount of all contacts awarded on the project/ program. Item B: Enter the total dollar amount of contracts connected with this project/program that were awarded to Section 3 businesses.

  • Service Contract The Parties intend this Agreement to be a "service contract" within the meaning of Section 7701(e)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

  • Business Contracts All Contracts (other than the Real Property Leases, the Personal Property Leases and the Accounts Receivable) to which Seller is a party and which are utilized in the conduct of the Business, including without limitation all Contracts relating to suppliers, sales representatives, distributors, consultants, purchase orders, marketing and purchasing arrangements and manufacturing arrangements, including all Contracts entered into between the date of this Agreement and the Closing Date (the "Business Contracts");

  • Customer Agreement In the event of a conflict between this Agreement and any other agreement between the Bank and the Grantor, the terms of this Agreement will prevail.

  • Construction Contract Documents The Construction Contract Documents shall consist of the plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer, and any addenda and change orders thereto, and the Owner-Contractor Agreement, all of which shall be compatible and consistent with this Agreement.
