Work on a Part Time Basis. 49.10 Subject to this clause, an employee is entitled to return to work after maternity or adoption leave on a part time basis, at the employee’s substantive level, until the child’s second birthday. The days and hours for the part time arrangement will be as agreed between the relevant Chief Executive and the employee. Work on a Part Time Basis. This clause is to the same effect as the current Agreement except as follows. The days and hours for the part time arrangement will be as agreed between the Chief Executive and the employee. Effective from 1 January 2013, an employee who is employed in an Agency with less that 100 (FTE) employees will be required to provide a request to return to work on a part time basis at least 12 weeks prior to the date on which the employee’s maternity or adoption leave is due to expire. Paid Partner Leave This clause is new. It provides for an employee (other than a casual employee) to access up to one calendar week (i.e. five working days) (pro rata for part-time employees) of their accrued sick leave entitlement on the birth or adoption of a child/ren for whom the employee has direct parental care responsibility. The leave is taken as full working day/s to be taken within 3 months of the birth or adoption of the child/ren. An employee can instead continue to access any more beneficial current entitlement or arrangement in an agency. The Paid Partner Leave days do not come within the number of days applicable to Family Xxxxx’s Leave albeit that the administrative arrangements for taking this leave will generally be those applicable to Family Carer’s Leave.

  • Modified Work/Return to Work Programs The Hospital and the Union recognize the purpose of modified work/return to work programs, is to provide fair and consistent practices for accommodating nurses who have been ill, injured or permanently disabled, to enable their early and safe return to work.   • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • Shift Differentials A shift differential of thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour shall be paid for shifts starting between 2:00 p.m. and 9:59 p.m. for employees regularly assigned to such shifts. A shift differential of forty-five cents ($.45) per hour shall be paid for shifts starting between 10:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. for employees regularly assigned to such shifts. The differential provided herein shall be part of base pay for overtime pay and other purposes. Employees at the Maine State Prison who are regularly assigned to the 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. shift are to be paid a shift differential of forty-five cents ($.45) per hour. Employees of mental health and correctional facilities shall be eligible for the second shift differential when their shift begins between 12:00 noon and 4:59 p.m.

  • Shift Differential The shift differential for employees working on assigned shifts which begin before 6:00 A.M. or which end at or after 7:00 P.M. shall be sixty-five cents ($0.65) per hour for all hours worked on that shift. Such shift differential shall be in addition to the employee's regular rate of pay and shall be included in all payroll calculations, but shall not apply during periods of paid leave. Employees working the regular day schedule who are required to work overtime or who are called back to work for special projects shall not be eligible for the shift differential.
