Water Treatment Plant. The regular hours of labour for Chief Operator, Industrial Millwright, Industrial Millwright Apprentice, Leadhand Electrician, Plant Electrician, Maintenance and Relief Operator, Operator, Control Technician, Janitor/Handyworker and Environmental Engineering Technician shall be as follows:

Water Treatment Plant. Drinking water, also known as potable water, is water that is safe to drink or to use for food preparation, without risk of health problems. Potable Water is produced at the WTP through a series of filtration and chemical dosing processes. Chlorine is used to disinfect water by killing pathogens such as bacteria and viruses thereby making the water safe for human consumption.
Water Treatment Plant. With regard to the current Water Treatment Plant, the City reserves the right to contract out the operation of the plant, and/or staff the plant with employees not represented by the Union. The Union agrees not to seek to represent any employees hired to staff the current Treatment Plant.
Water Treatment Plant. The normal work week shall comprise of five (5) eight (8) hour shifts from Monday to Sunday. Break periods as per clause (a).
