Teaching Credit. A teacher shall be awarded full credit for each year of teaching experience outside of the District up to ten (10) years. Any credit beyond ten years is at the discretion of the District.

Teaching Credit. All teachers may be given credit on the salary schedule set forth in Appendix A for up to five (5) years of teaching experience outside the Northwest Community Schools or the Board may grant credit on the salary schedule for outside teaching experience as deemed appropriate. Up to two (2) of the five (5) years may be for military service if the teacher was drafted while in an approved program or if teaching was interrupted. Experience credit shall be granted only for semesters or major portions of semesters taught. Special education teachers who have received an additional step on the salary schedule for serving in that capacity between 2001 and 2011, shall not be moved back on the salary schedule, however, no teacher will receive additional steps for this purpose after July 1, 2011.

Teachers in Westville will receive one (1) year's experience on the salary schedule if they perform services for at least one hundred twenty (120) days of each school term. Paid leave shall be recognized as performance of services.

Teaching Credit. Credit for all teaching experience outside the XxXxx Xxxx Xxxxxxxx Xx. 0 shall be given on the salary schedule up to six (6) years. Credit for years experience and placement on the salary schedule for teaching experience beyond six (6) years shall be determined by the board of education. In determining the amount of teaching experience, either within or outside the district, less than 1/2 year of experience will be given no credit while 1/2 year or more will be considered a full year. Anyone employed prior to ratification of the 1991-1992 contract will receive full credit for years of experience.

Related to Teaching Credit

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • TEACHING CONDITIONS The parties recognize that the availability of optimum school facilities for both student and teacher is desirable to insure the high quality of education that is the goal of both the teacher and the Board. It is also acknowledged that the primary duty and responsibility of the teacher is to teach and that the organization of the school and the school day should be directed at insuring that the energy of the teacher is primarily utilized to this end.

  • Teaching Experience Teaching experience will be credited on a year-for-year basis for each full-time teaching year or equivalent. Acceptable teaching experience includes pre-college, college, and university teaching.

  • NON-TEACHING DUTIES The Board and the Association acknowledge that a teacher’s primary responsibility is to provide learning experiences and that his energies should be channeled into this responsibility to the fullest extent. Therefore, they agree:

  • TEACHING HOURS A. The teacher’s normal teaching hours in the secondary and elementary schools shall be as follows:

  • Interest in Teaching Pupils The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to each pupil, taking into account each individual's unique background and characteristics. The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates enthusiasm for or enjoyment in working with pupils, to wit:

  • Matching Contributions The Employer will make matching contributions in accordance with the formula(s) elected in Part II of this Adoption Agreement Section 3.01.

  • ANTI-COMPETITIVE BEHAVIOR Contractor will not collude, in any manner, or engage in any practice which may restrict or eliminate competition or otherwise restrain trade.
