PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. 1. Professional opportunities available to teachers within a given school will be announced to all teachers by posting on the bulletin board. This is intended to include (but not be limited to) various extracurricular and intramural assignments within the school, and faculty manager of athletics, regardless of whether these are paid or time-compensated assignments.

PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES a. The Superintendent of Schools or his representative shall notify the Association President of all professional vacancies within the MPTA bargaining unit. Such notification shall be made prior to the notification of other recruitment agencies. Any teacher who applies for such a vacancy shall be granted an interview. The interview will be held in accordance with the interview procedures being followed for filling the particular vacancy.
PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. Each bargaining unit member will incorporate professional opportunities as approved by Administration in order to implement his or her individual goals. Appropriate documentation, including the Annual Professional Development Log of hours, will be included in a portfolio that each bargaining unit member will keep. Any teacher having an interest in a coaching position that may become vacant during the summer shall indicate this interest in writing to the Athletic Director prior to July 1 as per Section 5-15.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Professional Development 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.

  • EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES The Personnel Department will mail to the Association copies of all recruitment bulletins. Tentative examination bulletins approved by the Head of the Examining Division of the Personnel Department will be mailed two (2) calendar days prior to the date that said bulletins are scheduled to be approved by the Civil Service Commission.
