Plant. The expression ‘Plant’ as used in the tender papers shall mean every temporary accessory necessary or considered necessary by the Engineer to execute, construct, complete and maintain the work and all altered, modified, substituted and additional works ordered in the time and the manner herein provided and all temporary materials and special and other articles and appliance of every sort kind and description whatsoever intended or used therefore.
Plant. To carry out general day to day servicing and maintenance of the Plant and maintain the same in good working order and generally in accordance with the manufacturers specifications and in accordance with all relevant Health and Safety Enactment. Provided that:-
(a) nothing in this clause shall require the Tenant to make good any loss or damage by Insured Risks;
(b) the Tenant shall not be or become liable under or by virtue of any of the provisions of this clause to renew or replace any of the Plant save where the need for such renewal or replacement arises in consequence of the misuse of it by the Tenant. or failure of the Tenant to repair and maintain it in accordance with the provisions of this clause.
Plant. All plant and associated and ancillary equipment and systems relating to:-
(i) planned replacement of boilers/control systems/flues/pumps/calorifiers/energy management systems;
(ii) repairs/replacement of heat emitters and associated pipework;
(iii) general day to day reactive and cyclical maintenance to mechanical plant, (e.g. boilers), including cleaning, servicing, energy saving projects, energy management systems;
(iv) repairs/replacement of hot and cold water services, storage tanks, hose reels;
(v) repairs/replacement of swimming pool plant, pumps, controls and pipework where appropriate;
(vi) repairs/replacement of gas distribution pipework and controls, fixed shower equipment;
(vii) repairs/replacement of electrical switchgear/distribution boards/wiring systems/lighting installations, replacement of lighting bulbs and lighting tubes (bulbs/tubes to be provided by the Tenant) at high level 12 feet (3.9 metres) above floor level;
(viii) repairs/replacement/cyclical maintenance to lifts, door access systems, emergency lighting and fire alarms including service contracts;
(ix) provision/replacement of lightning protection;
(x) replacement of swimming pool linings or structure where appropriate;
(xi) energy saving projects/equipment as part of planned maintenance;
(xii) Health and Safety works where they are the responsibility of the Landlord;
(xiii) cultivating and maintaining trees.
Plant. An electrical generating alternative energy resource facility developed by Producer for which IID shall provide transmission service, as specified in Exhibit(s) II, Transmission Service, and in any subsequent Plant Amendments.
Plant the items hired under a Task Order, being listed in the Appendix and any substitutions, replacements or renewals made in accordance with this contract and, if applicable, any Operator, where context allows. Rental Payment: the payment to be made by the Purchaser under this contract for the hire of the Plant.
Plant. Controls all aspects of plant operations; can diagnose and correct process irregularities, take all systems out of service for maintenance. Can start up plants from cold conditions, build in all product streams promptly without any direction. Can handle major plant upsets and can return plant to normal purities following same. Can safely shut down plant, ensure proper bottle up and ensure readiness for a short outage. Can interface with customers in an acceptable manner for all normal operating communications. Can diagnose typical plant upsets and problems. Demonstrates leadership in plant safety program - emergency response to spills - fire fighting procedures - Mastercard/HWP usage.
Plant. Contractor's Proposal 1.1.4.10 Provisional Sum
Plant. Has assisted in start up of plant and understands sequence of start up. Completely understands major column and equipment control loops and can recognize and troubleshoot problems in same. Understands Fix 32 computer operation, how to change variables, control field devices and how to silence alarms, obtain first out indication and knows all major groups. Can monitor and control plant keep within contract specifications. - Successful completion of Praxair Operator Training Manual Module 14. - Is in possession of a valid compressor operators ticket. Understands electrical supply and one-line layout, and can rack breakers in and out. Can manually operate emergency generator and transfer switch. Understands design and layout. Can safely start up and place on line without purity upset from a 1 BLAC to a 2 BLAC operation. Is completely knowledgeable on all compressor indications and their significance to the machine. Variances from normal are noted and acted upon. Has complete knowledge of all oil and cooling systems.

Plant. The contractor, shall at his own expense, supply all tools plants and equipment (herein after referred to as T & P) required for the execution of the contract, as specified in the tender documents.
