Overtime Hours and Flexibility. All paid leave time (vacation, holidays, sick leave, compensatory time off, or paid leaves of absence) shall be considered time worked. The pay week for overtime purposes is Wednesday to Tuesday for State-benefited employees and is set by the County for County-benefited employees. • Employees are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per pay week, or for hours worked on a holiday or on any regularly scheduled day of rest when the work is required by, and has the approval of, an authorized supervisor. These employees shall be compensated for overtime hours worked at the rate of one and one-half times their regular hourly rates of pay. • Employees shall have the option to be paid in cash or shall be given compensatory hours at the appropriate overtime rate for all overtime hours worked. Cash overtime shall be paid in the period in which it is earned or in the following pay period. Compensatory time may be used at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and the immediate supervisor.

Overtime Hours and Flexibility. The Employer shall pay overtime when an employee works more than forty (40) hours within a seven (7) consecutive day pay week. The Employee must notify the supervisor as soon as the need for overtime is apparent. Overtime is subject to supervisory approval. Employees are responsible for managing their time within the forty (40) hour per pay week parameter. Employees may not work on a holiday unless directed by their employer. If an employee is directed to work on a holiday by their supervisor they shall receive holiday pay according to their FTE in addition to payment for hours worked. Employees shall have the option of choosing whether overtime compensation shall be paid in monetary compensation or compensatory time off. Compensatory time may be accumulated to a maximum of eighty (80) hours. Compensatory time may be used at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and the immediate supervisor, except in the same work week it was accumulated.

  • HOURS AND OVERTIME 3:1 A workweek is defined as seven (7) consecutive calendar days, from Saturday midnight to Saturday midnight. The basic workweek shall consist of five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours each and shall begin Monday and run through Friday, except when a job other than for a public utility is to be done on Saturday, then the Company may assign another day as a non-workday and Saturdays becomes a workday in the basic workweek. An extended workweek shall begin at starting time Monday and continue until the next Monday starting time. The regular hours of work for all employees shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with an unpaid meal period of thirty (30) minutes which normally will be from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. provided, however, that the regular lunch period may be advance or delayed an hour or less when work must necessarily be performed during the regular lunch period. Such a change in the lunch period shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime. The regular hours of work may be changed by the Company at the request or direction of the public utility or governmental authorities, and by mutual agreement between the Company and the Union. The Company may change the start times by 30 minutes in either direction of the regular start time to meet the operational need without union approval. Such a change in the regular hours of work shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime.

  • Workplace Flexibility Where, for bona fide operational reasons the Employer schedules employees to work Saturday or Sunday, the following criteria shall apply:

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Flexibility (a) The Employer and an Employee covered by this Agreement may agree to make an individual flexibility arrangement to vary the effect of terms of the Agreement if:

  • Overtime Pay a) A casual employee shall be entitled to overtime pay in accordance with Article 27.05 in the following circumstances:

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Shifts In the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Agency may schedule nursing personnel on a rotational shift basis for a temporary period during the opening of new facilities. The Agency shall not schedule any employee to rotate more than two (2) different shifts in any four (4) week scheduling period. Exceptions may be mutually agreed to by the parties. In the other Agencies, shifts shall not be rotated unless mutually agreed to by the parties.

  • HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME 8.01 A regular workday shall consist of eight hours between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. A regular workweek shall consist of forty (40) hours, comprised of five (5) regular work days, Monday to Friday inclusive.
