Normal Hours of Work – Full-Time Employees. The normal hours of work for full-time including employees working rotating shifts or a fixed shift as part of a 16 or 24 hour operation are seventy (70) hours averaged over a bi-weekly period. It is understood that “Average hours worked” are deemed to include paid leaves, when they are taken, such as: vacation leave, special leave, income protection, bereavement leave and general / designated holidays. The work week shall be from Monday to Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays as days of rest.

Normal Hours of Work – Full-Time Employees. The normal hours of work for full-time employees shall consist of seventy-five (75) hours in any two (2) week pay period. The normal shift shall be composed of seven and one-half (7½) consecutive hours, exclusive of meal times. Note: Implementation of the new 37 ½ hour work week will take place within two weeks of the date of ratification, except where scheduling issues and/or the need to negotiate new Compressed Work Week schedules necessitates a further delay.
Normal Hours of Work – Full-Time Employees. The standard work week shall have shifts which consist of seven (7) hours per shift. Employees shall be scheduled to work five (5) days in any pay period week and up to two (2) weekends in every four (4) weeks. The Employer shall use its best efforts to provide Full-Time employees with two (2) consecutive days off in every pay period week.

  • Full-Time Employees A full-time employee is one engaged as such and whose ordinary hours of work average 38 hours per week. The employee’s ordinary hours of work will not exceed an average of 38 hours per week over a 4 week period. Although the actual hours of work may vary from week to week, with some weeks greater than 38 hours and other weeks less, the employee will not work in excess of 152 ordinary hours in any four week period.

  • Ordinary Hours of Work The ordinary hours of work will be worked any time between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Ordinary hours of work may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority of the employees concerned and the ETU State Secretary (via the relevant full time ETU Official) to accommodate the hours or work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer and the requirements of its client. Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail. Proper health monitoring procedures will be introduced and suitable rosters clearly agreed prior to commencing work. Adequate supervision must always be provided. Matters on which agreement may be reached include:

  • HOURS OF WORK & OVERTIME (Subject to implementation instructions, the following clauses will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provision related to the Work Week and Work Day, Rest Periods, Overtime Definitions, Overtime/Callback Accumulation, Missed Meal Breaks, Meal Allowance, Time Off Between Shifts, and Change of Schedule that existed in the Hospital’s expiring collective agreement:)
