Work Week Schedules. The Employer may establish, pursuant to an operational need, a “flexible work week” schedule for classes and positions in the California Conservation Corps when assigned to a spike. "Flexible work week” is a work schedule which allows for changing of a regularly scheduled five (5) day week, eight (8) hours a day work schedule to a work schedule of more than eight (8) hours a day but at least forty (40) hours per week.

The normal workweek for full-time full-year employees shall be forty (40) hours, consisting of five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours each, Monday through Friday, except in the case of such employees engaged in Continuous Services. Work Week Schedules. Work week schedules in conformity with this Agreement shall be furnished to the Union within fifteen (15) days of the execution of this Agreement. Any proposed change in work week schedules shall be furnished to the Union at least fifteen (15) days before the effective date of the change. The Union shall have the right to object to such change and if not resolved with the Employer, may proceed to the Grievance Provision of this Agreement. In the establishment of work week schedules, the Employer shall give preference to Employees in accordance with seniority as far as practicable and consistent with proper nursing home management.

Work Week Schedules a. In the establishment of work week schedules, the Hospital will recognize seniority as far as practicable and consistent with proper Hospital management.

The current regular work schedules (days and hours of work) including the work schedules in effect during the summer period are regarded as satisfactory by the College and the Union at the time of execution of this Agreement. This shall not limit the College’s right to change existing work schedules or to establish new work schedules, provided that such action is not arbitrary or unreasonable. The College shall give the Union at least one (1) week’s notice, whenever practicable, and shall consult with the Union, before changing existing work schedules or establishing new work schedules and will not change existing work schedules or establish new work schedules without the consent of the Union unless the Union arbitrarily or unreasonably withholds its consent. Notwithstanding the foregoing paragraph, during the term of this Agree- ment the College may make the following limited modifications in work schedules in dining services departments when necessary to meet xxxxx- ing customer requirements and fiscal constraints. Such modifications shall not be made in a manner that establishes split-shift schedules with- out the consent of the Union nor will management change schedules in any other way that conflicts with the provisions of this Article. The Union reserves the right to grieve the reasonableness of the College’s actions.
Work Week Schedules. Upon request, copies of work week schedules shall be made available to the Union. No existing pattern shall be changed in a discriminatory manner.

Work Week Schedules. The Employer will post a work schedule a minimum of five (5) calendar days in advance of its effective date. The posted schedule may not be changed except with the mutual agreement of the Employer and employee. With supervisory approval, employees may exchange days off with other employees in the same classification provided no overtime results and the employees give advance notice to the Employer. Employees wishing other special scheduling consideration shall make such request in writing at least two weeks prior to the schedule posting.
